I don't think it's fake, considering it's on the official Japanese website. It's kind of exciting... but the Japanese versions always seem to cost more than English version that comes out later. In my case I only want to play it in Japanese.

I can't wait for this remake, it will be awesome! I lost my Gold/Silver a long time ago, and getting to "seeing" it is even better.

If this is a remake of gold and silver that is awesome. I have to admit Johto is my favourite place in the pokemon franchise and even though more games are updated and better graphics gold and silver are my favourite games.

I've seen most vids and I think its gonna be great! Its nice that nintendo is doing a remake of Gold and Sliver. Kid of the new gen can play the Johto story like we did in the old days.

oh god. not another addicting game. out of all the ones to remake... they do the two i remember the least. just as long as they give it more element that doesn't repeat itself, again! should be a sweet game if i wasn't already over the same type of gameplay. id still play it though.
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

I can imagine myself spending hours playing the game, deciding what's the best team, best moves, etc. When the game is released.That and the fact that I've just started on my Platinum last week.. o.0 Lols..

I don't know...It is new, and cool, but I think I would prefer the original. It just seems better to me.

Yeah the original is my favorite too. But you gotta look at it this way you can play it like we play D/P Plat. The animation, graphic etc are the same. Heard that you can't catch the shiny red Gyrados though.

I am totally pumped up that this the gold and silver ver. of Pokemon are getting a remake. But I can't help but wondered if they'll ever going to remake say...Pokemon Yellow or Crystal? I also wonder what they're going to do about the radio feature that is on Gold/Silver--whether they'll add more stations for varity or something.

Cool, i havn't heard of or played that one..but then Pokemon has been milked till the cows udders BLEEEDD! how many games are there now? dont get me wrong, i don't mind the games, i just don't understand people who play every single one of them. they come out so soon after each other it must feel like Groundhog day! Same setup..same annoying hyper w***kerish friend, it'd be nice with a different setup. and its mostly the same pokemon but a few more added each time. i do love it..but every single game...no...noooo!. Pokemon = Big Bucks franchise that squander parents pockets!!

I agree..Gold and Silver were the ABSOLUTE BEST pokemon games ever. They took the longest to beat, and they actually used ALL that pokemon had to offer at the time, refering to the 16 badges and going to Kanto and stuff like that.
it took me at least 2-3 weeks to finish the game.. I can't wait to play it with better graphics..

Yeah, I'm really kind of pissed how this was the only game to feature more than one region where you could collect more than the main eight badges. Even if Kanto was lacking in the development department, the whole exploration thing was still there, and it made the game that much more enjoyable.I actually beat Ruby and nearly tore all my hair out looking for the way to get into Kanto/Johto, even looking online until I discovered the sad truth. Pokemon games need more multi-region adventures, even if they are half-assed.Apologies for going off topic, but I had to get that out.

Someone hasn't been reading... this is already confirmed, they have gameplay video, they have information, they have the damn logo, which is enough to prove this is happening... And there would be no point to remake yellow because... oh well Pikachu doesn't follow you around, firered leafgreen did that job, and pretty well, and if you miss having a pokemon follow you around, in heart gold and soul silver, your starter follows you around the same way Pikachu did.I don't think this remake is happening.But I'm hoping it will.To me, gold and silver was the best.they should remake YELLOW

Nintendo is really going all out with this game. Now if you have Heart Gold you can get Kyogre, and in Soul Silver you can get Groudon. Bring both to one game and you can capture Rayquaza!And the PokeWalker thing is cool too, you can transfer one pokemon to it, and as you physically walk the Pokemon will gain xp. This is to promote a healthy life style! Jirachi is also being released in the next week to people in Japan, and if people later trade it to HG/SS it will unlock a new area.About Red Gyrados, I hope we can still capture it

great !!a confirmed news about gold and silver!i actually played finish silver(i still remember i played it at gbc

Gold and silver have the strongest and longest storyline in the whole pokemon seriesit would be perfect if nintendo release another GBA version for Heart Gold & Pokemon Soul Silver XP (day-dreaming)
