Pokemon Gold is my very first game in the gameboy.Will they make a re-pack for these like Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum?

No, generally second edition of Pokemon games mark the end of a Nintendo system, same goes for a mario kart, and super smash brothers. Red Blue Yellow, followed by Gold Silver Crystal - next pokemon games were for gba, sapphire, ruby, and emerald and then fire red and leaf green, followed by a new system Pokemon game, pearl and diamond and now platinum. Since they didn't make a follow up to fire red and leaf green, like a new yellow version, I doubt they will for heart gold and soul silver. After heart gold and soul silver there will be no standard pokemon rpg for the DS.I've also been hearing rumors that their will be no new Pokemon... the last two generations have been weak in my opinion, and I think it has to do with that the creator only thought of the first 251, and those were single handed drawn by Ken Sugimori, who I think did a wonderful job... 3rd gen had weak fire types, 4th gen had weak electric types...Pokemon Gold is my very first game in the gameboy.Will they make a re-pack for these like Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum?

Obviously you don't know the difference between a DS Lite and a Normal DS. The DS Lite is brighter and it has a GBA Slot.Anyways, I'm glad that Nintendo finally makes a Remake of Gold and Silver.When it releases in the US, I'll download it for sure!*seriously whats so great about the lite? its just smaller!*

I'm also waiting...Pokemon Silver was my first game for an handheld console that i have...And i loved the game....So i'm hoping that it comes fast and that its good, otherwise i stop buying pokemongames

Everytime i see new screenshots or gameply, i just want this game even more.And the fact that ALL 493 pokemon can follow you in the game just staggers me. How long must the spriters have been working 0_o

There probably won't be as they didn't remake yellow for the GBA, they only made Fire Red/Leaf Green.So sorry, but don't be expecting a crystal remake on the ds. It's a shame cos i'd like one too.

Well if it's gonna be authentic then they will.I understand that this WILL NOT be an exact remake because of all the new things that they can do now.As in they're adding all sorts of stuff in, starters following you, menu on the bottom screen etc.But this will be the must have game of the year!

They've already confirmed that more than just the starters will follow you around. Any of the 493 pokemon will follow you around outside of its poke-ball.Isn't that neat?As in they're adding all sorts of stuff in, starters following you, menu on the bottom screen etc.

I agree with many users: I'm happy that these will come out and it's re-creating the Johto experience, especially with all the new younger players. 
My favorite game was indeed Crystal and if they don't re-release that, I'll be mad. That game stood out; even the cart's casing stood out with the blue and sparkles!I'm guessing the Infrared capability will be replaced by the Wi-Fi. Mystery Gift was always fun, but now it's heavily used on darn Nintendo events!!! Gahh, I loathed those. You have a mob of people trying to get a rare Pokémon. *sarcastic "Woo-hoo!"* I never, ever, EVER had a Celebi in Crystal though.
