The Protoss, because I loved dropping a whole ton of reavers in an enemy base...haven't played the game in a long time though.

Oh wow, I haven't played Starcraft in years! But my favorite race just has to be protoss because of the templars and those photon cannons are good for both land and air.

The Zerg are awesome. Cheap, fast units that can flood a battlefield in minutes. The Lurker is my favorite unit as well. I place them all over the map as a sort of early warning system. They also take out patrolling enemy units with ease.

Been so long since I played this game, but I do recall being more of a Protoss fan. Generally, I tend to choose the race that has advanced technology. However, my second choice would be the Zerg, for a massive alien force to wipe the board clean of my enemies.

I love the protoss...its a super advanced race technologically but also has odd smackings of ancient medieval monarchy as well.

OMG i hate and love the defiler's dark swarm, the only way to counter them are Vessels.. DAMN SCOURGES!Anyway i pick TERRAN of course, i guess my 1st favorite was Protoss or Zerg also both but when i started lookingreplays/events TERRAN was my last choose.

The race I play the most: protoss. By far the easiest race to play.The race I like the most: Zerg. Most interesting and greatest potential, if only I had the skill to use them.Storyline-wise, gotta root for humanity to dominate the galaxy. I know, I'm such a racist.

Zerg requires the most skill to play, plus I like the swarming and infestation themes. Zergling rushes on SC1 were probably the cheapest way to win but once you fail, you're screwed I like the gamble.

While I probably play best with Terran, I think the Protoss are the coolest. Zealots look awesome, Carriers are great, Scouts...it just goes on.

You're right about Zerg. Kind of right about Protoss. In no way is Protoss easy to play. It's hard as you have to be much more methodical and careful about unit placement and minernal spending as your units are much more expensive and have large delays after attacks. How the units' abilities work is also much more complex. Protoss is arguably the hardest race to play.A nice and easy straight forward race is Terran. It's good for beginners because it follows the usual stand RTS build structure and every single of their units are ranged apart from their SCVs (workers).I play Terran but my play style for other games is more Protoss. protoss of cource. their soldier are the best in the game, though tey are all more expensive compared to other unit soldier. psy shield is cool. but terran nuclear weapon is the best weapon in starcraft, points 3 nuclear weapon in same spot and nothing remains. very scary if your opponent are terrans.

First off, my vote was based of SC2. Not sure if that means it's still valid, but Terran in this new game have to be my favorite by far. They counter the other two races very well, and many of the new units and abilities make them far more enjoyable to play than previously.

I play random so I'll list some stuff I like about each race.ProtossThey can warp in gateway units anywhere they have pylon power.So if you can hide pylons in the nme base, you can make units inside their base for sneak attacks.You can also reinforce your main army across long distances instantly. Just bring a probe with your army to drop pylons.They are the only race with a "super" unit, the Mothership.It's more a support unit and rather hard to use effectively but it's still pretty damn cool.ZergOnce you get 3+ hatcheries and queens at each one, your unit making speed is ridiculous.You lost 100 supply worth of units in a huge battle?If you kept up with your injects, you can remake that 100 supply in ONE production cycle.Best feeling when the opponent thinks he's barely won the battle and your 2nd wave comes in and crushes him.Baneling landmines are pretty epic.And also you can neural parasite a Mothership... that's pretty unfair.TerranTheir scouting is 2nd to none. Drop scans to see what your opponent is up to at all times (after you get a few orbital commands up).Planetary Fortresses, bunkers, and Thors with 10 scv's repairing them can single-handedly win you the game.Flying buildings. Comes in handy more often than you think (i.e. base trade situations).

When I first picked it up, terran was considered the "imba race" so I ended up taking up protoss and zerg. Zerg is probably my favorite, the play style is a lot more entertaining for a casual player.
