I found D/P the most enjoyable because it is the same thing as all the other games except improved. You can't beat improvements! I thought they should've stopped making pokemon games after leaf green and fire red because it felt like game freak ran out of ideas and were just trying to squeeze a few bucks out of the remakes.

Well, I personally like all of the games, RPG just seems to be my thing, and I really appreciate new games coming out since my pokemon red and GSC versions are all dead; now I just have ruby working. Gamewise, Crystal was my favorite, but I favor more the butt-kicking advanced era pokemon storage system

i loved the 3rd of each generation the most;yellow, crystal, emerald, and possibly platinum.I did enjoy the renovation in making firered and leafgreen. There were more features, better sounds && graphics, and we can send them to our diamond/pearl versions unlike the original GB + GBC games.I would like to see a remake of Gold/Silver/Crystal as i enjoyed Crystal the most. This Generation had 16 badges to collect which had a longer, better gameplay. They should do another 16 badge game or remake the 2nd Gen games.:cheese:Oh and btw, they should keep making more gens and more pokemon, purely coz it makes it more fun seeing the new ones you can get.

Outside of Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, I stand behind the old-school, GB and GBC Pokémon games. I have less than zero use for Diamond & Pearl, really - though Diamond have it because of my fiancee.

gold/silver were my favorites just because after playing red/yellow i loved all the new pokemon and the subtle changes to the game (eg. pressing select to use and item, day and night, ect) and being able to go and explore the areas from red/blue/yellow. but now there are a bazillion new pokemon and they all just look like real animals or they look retarded... like they can't even move

Personally, I dont much care for anything after Crystal version. Now making new Pokemon every year or so is becoming a cliche. I might find Ruby/Sapphire playable, but FR/LG kind of ticked me off. There was no need, in my opinion, to remake Red or Green. What is wrong with 8 bit games? And D/P just became annoying to me.Does anyone else have similar opinions, or completely opposite ones?

I prefer the new p o k e m o n games.

The original was the best. Red, Blue, Yellow and GREEN (never relased outside of Japan for some reason)I mean... the idea was very orignal at the time! Those whose first game-boy game was pokemon would understand.Great storyline with Great fearce and a bit gro-tesque looking monsters... it was indeed pocket "MONSTERS"Gold+Silver too, it had improved graphic pics of Pokemonclearler image making them a little less scary. but still a great plot and the fact you can travel around the Kanto (the first pokemon world) with enhanced BGM was great. They should have stopped after gold+silveralthough it was clear it would appeal to the new younger generationCrystal onwards, I never played excluding Fire Red out of nostalgia.Today's pokemon? (whatever the series)I find Tamagocchis more scary than the pokemon they have today.they dont look fierce, and I have a feeling that Nintendo is tryling to appeal to more matured women who loves cute things.(Just in my opinon, apolgies for those who have got offended)When the gamecube version came out (the 3D one)I had hoped Nintendo will release a 3D remake version of Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. :)

The newer ones had their own charm, but Crystal is still the most in depth of the series(overall).Sure D/P has its spiffy graphics and Wi-fi, but what happened to 2 regions? Wasted on a 3D overworld which they're just now making enough use of the camera to get anything out of it. They need more view shifts like that one cutscene or Eterna city gym to make it noticeable.Okay, maybe mini-Kanto wasn't that great, but that's still better than nothing. If they brought it down to 24-32 bit instead of 3D, I'm sure they could code in multiple regions. Also, Crystal had multi frame animations, the newer ones only use 2 frames.R/S/E had a clock, but what did it matter if the sun seemed to be up ALL THE TIME? Did like the weather additions though; now if only they had thunderstorms or severe amounts of sunlight in D/P...And why is it that game freak is making it more and more impossible to Catch 'em all legitimately? At least half of the new legendaries(possible over exaggeration) are impossible to catch without having attended some event they'll likely never throw outside of Japan, or trading with someone who has managed to attend said event(s).

As RPGs, I dislike anything after GSC. They're too neutered. Team Magma/Aqua don't have the same grittiness of RBY's Team Rocket, there aren't enough antagonists (nobody to fill the shoes of, say, Gary or even the GSC rival), everything in the game is there just because it was there in previous generations. Why does the Elite Four have a champion, for instance? Only because there was a champion in RBY, so they wanted everything to be the same. But remember that the only reason RBY had a champion was because Gary had just beaten the Elite Four when you arrived; he was champion for all of five minutes. There's a good reason he's champion; the later games have few good reasons for anything. As competitive games, though, they keep on getting better. And so complicated I can't figure them out any more :(
