I've been a big fan of harvest moon since the SNES, so this might be a bit biased.I love the harvest moon games; however, they do tend to be slightly glitchy and much less polished than the animal crossing games.I do think that there's a lot less to do in harvest moon in the late game, so it can get boring. It only happens after hours and hours of gameplay though.Animal crossing has the benefit of online play, though. It's rather cool, actually.I'd pick Harvest Moon, though.

I've only played Animal Crossing and loved it. Once you figure out all the crazy secrets like realizing attacking rocks with your shovel yields money, it gets really fun. It's also much more fun when multiple people in your family play it so you can work together and stuff.I've heard so much about Harvest Moon, but for some reason I kept putting off getting it. Downloading now...

Harvest Moon really addicted me from the very start of the game. Animal Crossing never did.

Harvest Moon no doubt! Animal Crossing is alright, too (so get both if you have the extra cash); but I have a special place in my interests for Harvest Moon

ive never played animal crossingbut from wat i played in harvest moon i think it was pretty goodu could try them both somehow before buying and see which u like better

Hmmm i love Harvest Moon loads!! but its such a long and tedious gameplay, u need a guide for everything to get anywhere, ppls loves and hates, their bdays etc. and the gameplay has moved very slowly which is a big shame, its pretty much sayed the same since the very first one apart from a few touch pad things like stroking the animals... pfft. personally i think Animal Crossing is alot better, sure its long winded too but you dont need to constantly look after eveything, your neighbours, your relationship everyday, it goes slower (realtime) so if u needed to keep your ties with your neighbours you have ALL DAY!! not 10mins till the end of the day n then they dont like you as much, or u accidently read the online guide wrong and walked into the opposition heart event...GRRRRr. and ok sometimes u want things to be built and HM its done in ike 20 mins till the next 1-2 days whereas AC uliterally have to wait a day...but theres so much more fun and relaxation to AC..HM just stresses me out now and bores me..i'm surprised it got so many votes tbh!!

Animal Crossing! Hands down it gives a better atmosphere and u dont have to worry about ur potatoes rotting and stuff...

Actually I like it both because somehow it represents the same idea. I think harvest moon is more fun to play because you can grow variety of crops and more.

When I first played Animal Crossing, I was like "isn't this Harvest Moon?". Ha, I know that they are quite different.I enjoyed the ability to collect many different objects in Animal Crossing, but it just felt like I was actually going nowhere particular. At least in Harvest Moon you felt like you were doing something as the virtual days went by. So I guess Harvest Moon is the better just because of that aspect.
