I prefer Harvest Moon, because for me, Harvest Moon is a bit less redundant, in the sense that the monotony of farm life is occasionally broken with some cute character events and festivals. The town in Animal Crossing for the Nintendo DS seems to small and there's not much to do but collect fruit and fish. After a while the droning background music just gets on my nerves, but the cute Harvest Moon music is always fun to listen to.

Animal crossing have to clear meaning, just buy houses and sleep, but Harvest moon, you can get married and do other stuff.
When the going gets tough, the tough goes shopping...

I'd go with harvest moon. I remember playing the old Harvest moon games and they were addictive. Animal crossing becomes repetitive after awhile, and i've played it for at least a year. They brought the marrying system back into the game if I remember right... for harvest moon lol not animal crossing.

I've never really got into Animal Crossing, but Harvest Moon has always got me hooked, I like IOH, but RF is better =3

Harvest Moon for sure!I didn't like how they made you wait the next day for new stuff in Animal Crossing.(Like, in real time, so 24 hours later.)

i played both and harvest moon got boring after a week or two but animal crossing kept buisy for 4 monthsso my vote goes to animal crossing

I believe that Harvest Moon is much better because it is a much more satisfying game to play when you grow crops on your farm. Animal Crossing just feel kinda empty...

Harvest Moon has been around since Super Nintendo so no wonder its going to rule over Animal Crossing. I'd have to say Harvest Moon as I've been a fan of it since I was around 6 years old. Never played Animal Crossing for more than 5 minutes on a friends DS.

I've tried both and I like Animal Crossing a whole lot better than Harvest Moon. Though Harvest Moon is faster, it's no fun. I had tons of trouble with it. Animal Crossing you can get tired of but what game doesn't bore you out?

Most game bore me out because I play them for such a long period of time I get tired of looking at them. Its hard for me to get into a good game anymore. I always want to think of how they are made and how its just a bunch of binary code and what not that I'm looking at.but what game doesn't bore you out?

I like Harvest Moon much better. I have never played Animal Crossing, but I did watch my brother. It seems a bit pointless and weird to me. But then again, others may think that Harvest Moon is pointless too.

I definatly would pick harvest moon, it is a lot funner and has more stuff to do then animal crossing.

I definitely like Harvest moon more, I liked animal crossing, but the real time thing is just really annoying, you have to play everyday or you will miss something. How cna you find time to play it everyday. So I quit and stopped playing it and went to game crazy to exchange for another game..

Animal Crossing is a very cute game, the townspeople keep coming around X3 but that's sound like Harvest Moon: The Island Grows Up With You(or Island of Happiness). I only play animal Crossing for a while and stopped, but I really like it, when i talk to people(animals) they keep answering a different Dialogue, it doesn't bores me to keep asking them <3But I still choose Harvest Moon. animal crossing is so much more fun. it has such a simple outside feel, yet you still get the sense that there is something more...and there is so much more.Animal crossing is better because of the graphics, the overwhelming content, and the overall style.

This is a difficult decision. I would say, "Both are games any serious gamer needs in his/her collection", but since it's a poll I will choose. As I said, both of these are great games where you're doing pretty much the same thing. They're both about siming a life. Doing odd jobs and using your rewards from them to get your cute little sprite more stuff for his house. While both games are must haves, I give the edge to Animal Crossing because it doesn't have all that tedious farming that can become quite monotonous in harvest moon.
