I always enjoy harvestmoon so definately harvestmoon cause the farming is good when you take a break

I own both games, and honestly they are from two very different spectrums. If you are more into the caretaking and creating a life, purchase harvest moon, if you would like to create your own personal life and enjoy better graphics, get Animal Crossing. I suggest looking at some guides and figuring out which game sounds better to you.

Harvest moon its cool. Ive never play animal crossing but still i think harvest moon is better, even though rune factiory 2 is better than harvest moon

AC is the kind of game your are PUMPED about and play for like a week, and then slowly forget about it, until a month later when your village is covered with weeds and all your neighbors hate you.I really like the Harvest Moon series, especially since a day in game is only like 30 minutes real time. And gameplay pauses when you stop playing. That's the one thing that I really didn't like about AC. Other than that, the main goals in the games are pretty different. One is about decorating your house and being a slave to animals. The other is about farming, getting married, and making the animals your slaves.

In Animal Crossing, you can use many tools to bother your neighbors, so I guess that Animal Crossing is funnier -- especially the reactions.

Both are similar in my opinion, and can get boring after so long... but I'd still have to say Harvest Moon. It's more... interactive, I'd say, People in the town can love you, or hate you. Same with the animals and pets you raise. The upgrades on your farm are alot easier to get compared to how much money it costs to upgrade your house in Animal Crossing, too.

I don't really like either but I would lean towards the harvest moon because its kinda more lifelike (from what I have seen) I haven't played either much.

I never played Harvest moon, but I sure played Animal Crossing so I'm gna say Animal Crossing is better... for now

I'm a HUGE fan of both games I have them for all systems and also the special edition and girl versions for Harvest moon. I still need Harvest Moon DS Cute though....

hooray for Harvest Moon! and Rune Factory, sadly, i never did finish Rune Factory 2 since i had exams and once i stopped for a while i could never get back to it T_T (cause i partially forget how to play it and end up having to replay the whole thing all over again...)

Definately Animal Crossing for fun over a long period of time.Harvest Moon is better for people who just like to dip into games a bit at a time.

Animal crossing without a doubt - HM just felt like another chore I had to do and was pretty repetitive, with AC it's up to you what you do in your gametime

Depending on which harvest moon you get, it can go either way. Animal crossing is a pretty safe bet, since there really isnt anything you can thoroughly mess up, but some harvest moon games for the ds have been extremely crappy due to bugs and such. I'd say if done well, harvest moon trumps animal crossing. You just have to get the recent ones.

Harvest Moon is much more addicting. Animal Crossing gets boring after sometime.
