Don't play it long enough for that to happen...Nor is it stuffed in some shelf, although right now it's sitting in a nice slot next to the tv.I'm sure it'll be fine though, we don't use it much @@

I have not had any overheating problems with my console. I have a nice little fan that is constantly on. Adequate air flow is always a good thing for consoles, I learned that the hard way!

My Wii has never overheated. It shouldn't overheat unless your having it bathe in the sun.

The wii in my room is rarely turned off, and i've haven't had any overheating problems. I think it's been on for like 3 weeks now, but it's still pretty cool to the touch.

Keep your Wii in a spacious area...example, a table...also, after about 500 hours of constant play, you might want to turn it off for a little bit. XD

I dont have that problem, as long as you dont leave it on standby all the time and plug it off at your wall. it can get very hot (the battery especially..obviosuly) and is also just wasting your electrivity bill - turn it off to save the planet :D

No way it would ever happen.. If I recall I've left it on for days and nothing happened.
