Yeah if I don't have it on, I get frustrated, and get confused what I'm getting hurt from. So vibration on, especially on shooter games.

Cant see myself ever playing a video game (exception to handhelds since they dont have built in rumble, save for a few gameboy ds games that had rumble support or physical modifcations to the HW) without that said vibration/rumble.Rumble makes the game experience interactive and well feels alot better than holding a controller that doesnt do anything outside of myself pressing buttons etc.at least sony got that hint that rumble is far from last gen.

Vibration, plain and simple, is another layer of interaction with the game, which in turn makes it more interactive.

honestly it depends on the game. like for gears u kinda need it but when the gameboy advance first came out i also got this controller thing that i could plug into it to give it vibration and really loud speakers. that is kinda unecasarry.

Well even though I don't have an Xbox... I do have a PS2, and a rumble pack for my DS. I always play with it on, weither it is needed or not. It just kinda helps you get into the game more, ya know?

I play with it on, because if i fall asleep while playing at 3am the controller usually falls onto my linolilium floor. then when something in the game happens the rumble goes off and i wake up from all the noise it makes.

I could care less about the vibration. PS2's rumble got to me one day and I took the controller apart and tore the rumblers out of it. So I could care less. You want to impress me with a controller give me Virtual Reality or actually how about some of that new digital 3-D. That might be cool.

I have to have it on if I'm playing a shooter since I use it to tell if I'm being shot, but other games I have it off since it doesn't serve any real purpose in em.

There is nothing better than playing with vibration on, it makes the game so much more lifelike. Another advantage is when you can't find your controller just turn your game on and make your controller vibrate and you can usually hear it. Most times i find that my wife is sitting on it though so its not as easy to hear it. She's quite a large woman too so sometimes she says she can't feel it but i reckon shes lying.
