'Fatal Frame' on the XBox, the game for those who don't know is about two Japanese girls walking about capturing ghosts on their photo camera and if the ghosts them they basically die. In the ending the girls, for some random reason are near, literally near the pits of hell and legend has said that if they look directly into the pit they become permanently blind. And guess what one girl does? She looks into it!... ...the end has her turning blind forever. Possibly one of the lamest video game endings, EVER! Even Xiaoyhu from Tekken III had an ending that made more sense...

Mega Man Battle Network (Rockman.EXE) 6. I never like flash-forward endings, and I don't like abrupt endings of kickass series.Otherwise, a few of the endings in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and Tournament Edition, were simply disappointing in terms of the characters.

I have never been so disappointed by any game's ending as I was by the ending of "Paper Mario II: The Thousand-Year Door". Guess what?

I completely agree.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Indeed!

I guess so...

For a newer game, I'd have to say Golden Sun. For an older game (as in 2d-era), I'll say Mad Max for the NES. I mean, come on! One panel, simply showing Max's car? I think we deserve a better ending than that after killing a crossbow-wielding gimp!

Golden Sun's ending was the worst. I mean, it's just 'TO BE CONTINUED' .... that's like, so lame.

Golden Sun.....really now, thats an ending?

Golden Sun's sequel wrapped it up so it's more like 1 game with 2 parts. For god's sake you can even import your equipment into golden sun 2.

Oswald's bad ending in Odin Sphere during the Armageddon chapter. He was pushed to use his Shadow Knight powers to the point where his entire being was completely consumed by his sword the Belderiver. He then calls out to Gwendolyn in the final moments of which he still had a soul.Volkenon Soldier: "Sir! Shall we finish him off?"King Onyx: "No. He is but a mere shadow of a man now. He no longer holds any power now. He is no longer anything."

The last game I finished was Star Wars the Force Unleashed. I hate for the good guys to always win. I like for evil to win. I chose the dark side and the stupid game still had to end badly. Instead of killing Darth Vader and taking his place by the Emperor, the character decides to fight the Emperor also. Nice way to mess up the game and try to teach a stupid lesson.

Odin Sphere for me. good or bad it was still quite depressing. AWESOME game but it had such a misery ending, what with mercedes dying, EVERYONE but 4 of the main characters dying and even 2 of them get turned into rabbits!

Call of Duty 4, enough said. And any game that ends with the main villain still alive or free. When you've fought against the bad guy for the whole game and in the end hero says "He has learned his lesson".

Mainly, I dislike any happy ending which feels like all the characters just trip off into the rainbows at the end, JRPGs tend to do that. But what really left me feeling this... senseless confusion and annoyance at the same time, was the ending of Neverwinter Nights 2. Seriously, they could have hired anybody off the streets who could have done better voice acting than the narrator they used, sounded like they just grabbed a random staff member. The first time I heard it I was wondering if I unlocked some joke ending, considering that it also went something like "Everyone got crushed by falling rocks" (I know that's not how it really went, but that's the impression I got).

I thought the ending to Assassin's Creed could have used some work. I mean, you use Eagle Vision and see some writing on the wall, and then, *poof*, credits. Seriously? Could you have at least given some explanation as to what the hell's going on?

Halo 2, followed by Assassin's Creed, because they were so obviously cut off in the middle of development, followed by pretty much any fighting game, since those usually have little to no story to speak of.
