Since I'm getting a NDS for my girlfriend, do you think there are games more suitable for girls? Any suggestion? Thank you folks XD

Well, now this is interesting. It totally depends, is she even a gamer? If not, you definitely need to get her casual games. These could include puzzle games, games like Mario Kart DS, etc. She also might like the cooking mama games as stated above, or try the Nintendogs series. All girls like cute lil puppies!

Hmm...it depends what she's into. Is she a girly girl? Then you'd probably be well off with getting her more interactive games like Nintendogs (as metioned above). It also may pay to get games which allow her to create her own character, and customize different things in the game.

Get her a sims and mario kart just to be sure. Im pretty sure anything goes with girls as long as it isnt super violent and bloody. I dont think they like that. But yeah, sims is a really good choice and any mario game will be fun.

you'd have to go by your judgement of her personality in my opinion, as you can't really say all girls like one thing, as that would be stereotypical

The most obvious one is Pokemon. Pokemon is very unisex =)If you're looking for something specific for your NDS, i've noticed a lot of girls like the mystery dungeon games. (Me too!)

It depends on her taste in things. If she enjoys playing games with you, get her something you both might like.

Oh, stop whining. This isn't sexist at all- lots of games appeal more to girls than guys, and I know lots of girls(including myself) who'd rather play Cooking Mama than shoot zombies. That being said, I vouch for time-based games or a mini-game gallery. Super Princess Peach is a great suggestion, since the Mario Bros. are popular even outside of the hardcore gaming community. Super Princess Peach is cute, addicting, and challenging with beautiful art and fun characters, cool music, and a solid story.Nintendogs is great and all, but I dunno if it'd be my first choice. It's kinda generic and it's one of the first games most people think of when they think "DS". Try to get her something she won't expect.

I'd say girls tend to enjoy simulation-based games...so something like Harvest Moon/Rune Factory, Sims, Animal Crossing, etc. Simulation probably because it's in the similar vein of 'dress up', 'let's create this character', 'let's create our own lives', marriage blah blah. It's not airheaded stuff though. Pure fun and also because it's driven by your own plot formation. I'd say simulation games are also more relaxing. On the flipside, puzzle or thinking/mystery games like the Phoenix Wright series are good too. Excellent dialogue is also a thumbs up.
