i prefer swordmasters cuz theyre pretty powerful up close but if fighting against rangemens they suck untill they get close enough to hit them xD

Swordmasters. I find that they're more useful with swords than Warriors are with axes, so they fit their profession nicely.Plus, in almost every FE game, one of my favorite characters is usually a swordmaster. They've usually got better character development than others.

Swordmasters are better in my opinionbut I was always unlucky and never had any 1 hit KO's with assassins

I like the Swordmasters no matter what. Yet, the Assasins I also love 'cause of their on hit stroke, but I guess Swordmasters win this one.

Swordmasters without a doubt. I used the arenas in each of the two games to get Guy and Joshua to Level 20 Swordmasters. Up until the last few chapters, one of them alone could win a battle for me. Matthew and Colm couldn't even survive in the arenas. Besides, Joshua the assassin is ugly.

I voted for Assassins. Mostly because a good assassin has 1337 Agility/Dexterity (based on what game your playing) so, He is faster, and hard to hit. Assassin's rely more on luck because they lack defense but rarely get hit. And since they always go first, they have the possibility of either getting a critical attack or a killing blow.

I prefer assassins, I've always had a preference for stealthy characters in games (even though that's not because of their fighting abilities, it's just that in most games thieves/assassins can steal things 
)

why bother to sneak around like a Rat when you can have the speed to dodge any attack and the Strength to crush any and all opposition Like the vermin they are Besides most Heroes are SwordwieldersThis is plain and simple a Heroic person Cleaves their way to the Enemy boss and crushes them is more appealing than some little squirt with a dagger

they both pwn i like assassins cu i thik they look cooler and have the 1 hit kill but swordmasters are more well roundedi personally have at least one of both on my team

In Fire Emblem, I'd say that swordmasters are more practical but assassins are cooler. Still though, I'm ALWAYS gonna pick the general first, give him some speedwings and have him ZOOOOOOOM across the board.
