Is it just me or do the L and R buttons stop working? I have a GBA and an SP and after a while of use the L and R buttons stop working. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem? My brother's GBA also has this problem.

I'm tempted to unscrew my stuff and finagle with it but then again I have my DS to play my GBA games with. I just don't want those L and R buttons to break.

That's why you play GBA games on computer instead of buying the game system thingy =)

yeah i also have broken L and R buttons. I put my gameboy in my pocket alot and they get held down so i think that, that might be the reason why they stop working. also i played a lot of megaman and all you do is use the R button really so i dont think that helped it any.

The L and R are fine, but some of the other buttons need to be pressed real hard other wise it doesnt register. Which is annoying... especially in the middle of a battle. I think I'll buy a new one..... :(

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

yes, i do. it really bother me, especially if i need it for some games. like Mario and Luigi all star brothers. or some game called that. you mostly use the L, and R button(s) in that game.

i had 3 gba's total, one gba and 2 sp's. i lost my old gba, my dad busted my first sp and broke the screen, and i still have my third sp. My l and r buttons are fine, except my L button doesn't really click in place when you press it down. besides taht, the buttons aren't really a problem.

Thus far, I have broken or mostly disabled 4 L buttons and 3 R buttons, across a GBA, two GBASPs and a DS.I blame Mario Kart DS, Pokemon, and Megaman for all of them.

Never broke any of my L/R buttons, though they tended to get stuck on my SP. But my GBA was just fine. It works even now, even though it's a little dusty.

Once on my sp, one of the shoulder buttons became unresponsive. We called Nintendo's help line (or whatever it's called), sent it in to one of their places in California and apparently, all that was wrong with it was there was a ton of dust in there. I couldn't unscrew it because they have their own special screwdriver for their own special screws. I sent it in and got it about a week later. When it did get back, it worked just like new and I haven't had a problem with it since.

My "R" and "L" buttons are fine and work with both my gameboy color, advanced, and advanced SP, however my "A" button on my gameboy advanced has stopped working.
