I was browsing the forums and was surprised no one made a thread about this though, but this is supposedly confirmed.It's suppose to be the 3rd edition of Sony's PSP and pretty much:-It's not a Slim | or is it

-The main speculated purpose is to make it harder to be hacked.-Has a built in mic-Brighter screen-FCC has tested it (link)-Ring of back logo is thinnerPix: Posted Image

In the blue prints the Home button wasn't a PS symbol but I can't find anything that says these pictures are real or fake so I threw them on.

PSP-3000 is the Japanese model. THE PSP-3001 will be the US model.

I don't know, maybe bigger motherboard = more complexity = harder to hack = more people have to buy games = more money to SonyI probably won't buy it, I don't see there being more Ram, a bigger screen, or anything new. Probably going to be the same price as a slim so when people knew to PSP's will just have to buy that. But you gotta think, they gotta do something better besides just say "there was a big security fault with PSP Slim so we encourage everyone to buy this new one" And Yami, there is an edit button, consider this just a open discussion thread, when more info comes out, I'll click that edit button.

Hopefully people are smart enough to not buy it if they plan to hack it. ._. But my faith in human intelligence is low. And it seems it doesn't have does little cut outs in the bottom either. Meh.Ryan, no one uses UMD Movies. :<

The only people that will initially buy it to hack it will be the devs. I wouldn't be surprised in DAX gets one and hacks it pretty quick, as he did with the slim.Funny thing about UMD movies, back when I was on 1.50 and the video playback was crappy...I bought a bunch of discount UMD movies from a british site....not realizing that PAL couldn't be played on NTSC.Finally DAX made a region spoof and I got to enjoy Tim Burton's "Batman" and "Akira".

I want a PSP 3K!Its just that I can't buy them yet.@HS: I don't see what you're worried about, with a pandora it will be quick as hell.I don't have a Slim, so I'm going to get one when they come out.

There is no telling if the pandora battery will work on the 3k.I'm sure it will be hacked, but with what limitations? With the slim we saw the loss of 1.50, but extra RAM added.The main thing is, there is so little information out right now about it....that all we can is speculate and sound like we know what we're talking about.

Nothing is hard to hack! With my axe of course! Unless it's industrial steel.And I am pretty sure Sony has enough experience with the pandora. I don't think they are spending their time on other important stuff. Like working PS3 firmware...But hey. Probably Sony will leave some loophole. Since they are aware that CFWs have been driving sales for sometime now. Remove that, only the sad uninformed noobs will be left. The sad sad noobs. :'( Oh, that also means the PSPhone is a LIE?

That was just rumor a horrible rumor... the PSP phone mod was pretty sweet though. Could it still work as a PSP though?

Yup.Just use the Sony ISO loader... I mean, you obviously couldn't use the UMD drive anymore.

That's actually pretty neat. Wish it didn't look so ugly though.Also there are PSP slims now that can't be hacked... so maybe this will take it up to the next level.

It has officially been announce its will be released in Europe first and it will have a built in mic and a brighter screen so the glare of the sun when you are outside itsnot affecting your game play . It will come in various bundles each including a different game.it will be around 199 euros, so buy it when its out on October 15 ^_^

I don't think the brightness thing is going to catch much people, I mean the brightness for the PSP is fine... it's not like the fat DS or anything. And release in Europe first? yeah right, Europe takes so long to approve anything, that's why games/systems are always released there later. It's gonna be in Japan first

Also there are PSP slims now that can't be hacked... so maybe this will take it up to the next level.

All slims can be hacked.

It's gonna be in Japan first

Europe and NA already have an official release, Europe is Oct. 15, and NA is getting it a day earlier.And if you haven't figured it out, its going to be 300$ (USD)Which is bull, I could buy a Wii and a game for that price.Though, thats reportedly for the entertainment pack, or something, which includes a 4GB memory stick and voucher for the game "everyday shooter." Yeah I looked at that price earlier today, that's total BS. 300$!?! Increasing the price cause of a probably crappy mic and it's fatter and probably harder to hack, not including the dumb brightness.And what about that new motherboard that can't be hacked?

Like a said, it includes a downloadable game and a 4GB memory stick, but if you consider how much a 4GB is in a retail store, its actually not overpriced.I'm hoping for another core pack, with a new, nice color.
