my first xbox completely scratched my gears of war disc and then got rrod(tip:games will run better laying ur xbox flat.)Has your Xbox 360 ever thrown up the infamous hardware defects that drove may away from the Xbox 360? Namely, the Red Ring of Death (three red lights error) and the Disc Scratch? (massive circular scratch on the disc, rendering it unreadable).I haven't had it happen to me yet, thank goodness, but my second cousin has.

fo the red rings just send it in to microsoft and if its within 1 1/2 years of buying , they fix it for free, and if its not they fix it for $99, and give you a 1 1/2 year warranty, problem is itt always dys 5 months after warenty lol
for scratched:
take it to a fleeMarket, and go to the videogame and/or music booth.. and ask if they re-wax cds/games, if they do, pay the man his 10 bucks and save 50 bucks in buying a new one.
if they dont rewax there, take it the the 2nd closest fleemarket.

Not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does eventually.

Yeah, the only way I've seen a disc get scratched in my console is if I moved it upside down with the game inside (Which, incidentally, I did with a Wii, but NOT an XBox).
But like pretty much anyone who owned an original white Xbox, I have seen the RROD.
