Saved games are much better, but sometimes it's cool to play a password game. When you get stuck on a level in the password game, just put in the password for the next level so you won't be stuck anymore!! Saved games can keep track of all to your data, like your level and items. Actually, it would be cool to see a game with both password and save. Or a saving password? ^_^

I always forget or misplace password, so I'd have to say saved games.

saving is a lot better because you dont have to carry around little papers with passwords written on them.

Saved games is the way to go, but many older games don't have the battery back up so it was impossible to have anything other than the passcode system. Plus I guess the question is if the game cart has the battery back up, or the system playing the game has memory for saving. Someone told me a lot of older games with early battery save systems (saves to the individual carts) now won't let them save because the batteries are dead!

Save games are much easier as you do not have to remember some password to get to the next section. It also is more tedious.

the save game has its pros and cons. the pros: dont need to remember anything, loads faster \\the cons: save file being corrupted, auto save can save at the worst time.the password has so many cons, im not gonna list any. not much pros either. save game definitly gets my vote

Passwords are only usefull if you want to redo a specific stage/mision without having to beat all the preceeding stages/missions. Other than that, I think save games are much better.

i prefer the save game over a password. simple reason being that passwords are easily lost or forgotten.

i would say i'd wish to have all the games i play with the save game system althou the bad ending is the file will be gone after sometime of "not touching them" ^_^ passwords are just tooo hard to remember and wastage of paper and pens =p lols and can cheat in some ways of going to the net finding the password/level u want and skiping a few rounds

I rarely see password games anymore and I think it's quite apparent that those are a thing of the past. They were just used in old systems like the NES because saving the game was too advanced and required too many resources. I really prefer the save games, but password is a nice backup, although I've never played a game that utilizes both. The only password games I play now are simple calculator games.

I'd prefer both: pass. saves for major milestones, and the option of saving whenver you want otherwise. :D

I've played games with passwords but they are not really good ways to save, unless it's for casual games (Nickelodeon games). Save Games are much better, but you might accidentally erase.

Saved games are much better since they are simple even for an idiot however passwords keep information a little safer... and you can write them down.
