Manic Miner on a Spectrum-like computer. Actually, it wasn't until some 15 years later that I KNEW it was Manic Miner. Back in my childhood, it was just a weird game where every mistake literally brought a boot to your head.

Probably Duck Hunt. I never understood what those white things(clay pidgeons) were, I always thought it was much more fun to shoot ducks... I had a terrible aim, though. =/

My earliest memories were of Super Mario Bros. for the NES. It was the first game I played, and carries heavy nostalgic value. :wtf:

I can't recall the name, but some friends and I would always go to the bowling alley to play on the arcade machine. The one I specifically remember was a four player fighting game, I recall it because I was really good and had my friend's backs in the game. I doubt it was my first but it really is a nice memory of some of my first games.

My first memory would have to be of my dad playing the first mario bros game on the nintendo. I remember it was on our huge bulky television and i remember having to move the game cartridge in the system just to get it to work since my dad didn't know how he might of just thought it was broken.

I'd played video games like tetris/kid icarus before it, but when I got the N64 the game i played straight for hours for the first time was Zelda: Ocarina of Time (of course.) Classic and STUPEFYING for a 9 year old who had only played a gameboy before. Ocarina of time shaped a huge percentage of my video game preferences today. People talk about how revolutionary it was in terms of a game but they never talk about the impact it had on people: it literally started me on RPGs and its something that I haven't lost today and don't plan to lose it anytime soon.

Sonic the Hedgehog 1. Marble Zone. I always died on the catepillars, but all I really cared about was the lava and the music. It was also on a TV my parents got from Bosnia with a weird adapter in the back. lol@photographic memory.

I think the first game I played might have been the original Final Fantasy for the NES. Although, I know the first game I ever beat was Bad Dudes, for the same system.

PACMAN! Or tetris... they happened about the same time. I used to watch my mom play, until she got the Mother Goose game, then I got to play.

It's a toss-up between Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, which I played WAY too much as a child, or Super Mario Bros 3 which I played WAY too much as a child. Oh I miss the days of old school Nintendo... or even super nintendo.

My first memory of video games was watching my cousins playing Joust on the Nes in my grandmother's basement. We were waiting for thanksgiving dinner to be ready and they started playing some games on the Nes she kept down there. I was introduced to a lot of classic games on that Nes whenever I was visiting family.

For my fifth or sixth birthday, I got my first game platform, a purple see-threw Gameboy Color, with my first ever game, Pokemon Yellow. Oh the memories are amazing.
