most of the games for psp are ports of PS2 versions OR are really similar clones. where's the originality?

On some games the loading times are bad, but thats mostly the game's fault, not PSP. The PSP itself is very powerful, and I think the battery life is great. One game that has horrible loads is NBA Ballers Rebound.

The battery life really isn't very good but other than that, I can't say that I'm too disappointed. The worst thing that happened to me was that when I got Field Commander, it didn't work so I had to return it. But otherwise, I haven't had any dead pixels or stuff like that. The couple games and movies I have work great and I'm impressed by the quality of the graphics.

The load times was one thing that I really didn't like, that is why I've always enjoyed the DS more. But in some ways it is worth it, because you get a better look.

No way, I modded mine and it's better than anything I can ever imagine.Any system that lets me play Monster Hunter AND Pokémon Red without having to switch ANY cartridges/UMDS is fine by me.

what turned me off was the long load times for the games. although, gta:lcs has fairly quick load times i was able to enjoy that game for a while. then i played mga and mga2 which were good turn-based games. can't wait for mgs:portable ops

I kinda was..When i picked it up, it felt heavier than I thought it would be. The graphics weren't changed much from the original ps2. So i felt that was kinda bad. However, the good thing about it was you could use the internet with it. lol. That was tite, but it took a while to type in an address.

Hmm, the thing that bothered me the most was how delicate it is. Everytime I hold the PSP in my hands I feel so insecure, like I might drop it or something <_< I can't even shake the PSP in ejoyment after completing a level <_<I feel that way, because I have dropped my GBA SP, NDS and NDS lite many times, and all still work as if I had just got it fresh from the factory. Other than that I can live with the loading times (grab a drink ) and low battery life (ended up buying a 3x batt XD).

At first I thought this system was great but now I rarely pick it up..my main gripe is load times as battery life has alwayz held up for me..Altho the game library has picked up abit, there hasn't been any new games that are "must haves" imo

For me I was amazed with it, because I didn't know about the internet, music, and video capabilities it had. I knew it played PSP DVDS and games, and that was it. haha

Hrmm I guess I was seeing as how I never play it, EVER! I played it for the first two days and then decided... I need a DS.

thats the beauty of the DS, there's no loading times.

I got my psp when it first came out and played it for first 2 months, but after that I kind of stopped playing it. Recently though I started using it to put videos on so I don't have to be home to watch my anime >.<.

Ehh i got my PSP when it first came out and after a while i got bored of it. Loses its appeal. The shortage of games and now places are removing the UMD movies. And a good memory card equals the price of a PSP system itself

When you talk about "still love your psp" I remembered about there is some people making video about breaking a psp on the streets. I thought you are gonna ask about that. The answer is yes :o I love it. I even don't let my mom to touch it.

I think like any system you can get a bit tried of it, unless you do what many have done, dive headfirst into the homebrew scene (if you can)I got my psp over a year ago, and never stopped playing it. GBA, SNES, Capcom Arcade games, Megadrive....I still buy proper PSP games though, if they're good.
