Well really Imo no. The screen is too small, the GBA is more custom to the screen, but for the PSP it's better with a tv.. and PS2.

ds is a better console as it has better games, it has a web browser. also it can play movies and music if u get a adapter which also works for gba. PSP also isnt best as the games usually hav rubbish controlles as it doesnt hav the second anologue stick. Also most of the games are ports from the ps2, where the game would be longer and more detailed with better controlles and the game will cost less. so psp doesnt rule ds does as it also has better controles with the touch screen

for graphics then i think it is, but for a selection of games i don't think it can compare to the ds, and the price doesn't help the psp either. if the psp came out with more then just sports and racing games i think they would do a lot better. ;)

i personally like the DS better. i had a psp and i never used it. i ended up selling it and now i have a ds and i love it mainly because the games are more arcade-like where u can pick up and play which i think is very important for portable gaming. second the games doesnt take as long to load and the ds is smaller as well as durable (that psp screen! love and you hate being paranoid about it) which all ties into portability.

Ok as an owner of both I would like to say that Yes the PSP is way better then the DS. but for one reason and one reason only.. if you have a PSP that is firmware 1.5 then you can run all the lovely homebrew programing you want.. as long as you are aware that there is a possibility to brick it.. < tho I have yet to do so > with running All those lovely homebrew programing I am able to play all my legit games I own on my PSP with the emulators available.. not too mention other programs designed just for the PSP.. Now with the DS nothing has been able to compare to this.. although The DS has a HUGE gaming library.. but the GBA has a much larger one.. it was a shame they could not get the hardware they needed to play the older games into the DS but hey it was a nice trade off for the added goodies they did put in instead.. But now I could not trade in my GBA SP because I have too many retro games for the Gba.. but hey like i said.. With the abilities of the PSP 1.5 it totally rocks.. as far as the library goes.. DS all the way..

psp is like a ps2 allready and many people are actually liking it because of its neat andi impressive graphicskind to think of it as great improvement but becausee of it's playing life is so low only4 hours and you have to<marquee direction="up">rcharge again but it still makes up with it's fantstic games like nba racing and </maquee>everything

Well, when I bought my psp, I knew I would be paying around twice the price than a DS (cuz of memory card)But think about it, psp isn't just a console, its a heavily updated digital handheld that can do a lot more than just play a console game... plus, the possiblity to save hundreds of dollars by dling iso's and homebrews just totally owns other handhelds that charge 50 bucks for a console game that players may finish after a week

Yes I am disappointed with some of the technology of the psp. Not the graphics, but most of all, the d-pad. I could not believe they messed up something so basic?? everyone knows it is a problem which is why companies like capcom released a d-pad adapter to make street-fighter style games easier to play. the loading times can be annoying though, if on a short journey. it is funny with the umd's, because it ends up making more sense to play games from the memory stick because the loading is quicker o.O

i like psp and ds, i like the psp's graphics. i prefer the ds though because it has the touch screen, and i think it has the better games catelogue. also i like the ds homebrew, like scummds, because they also make good use of the touch screen.

Imo, if you wanna listen to music, customize stuff, listen to movies then psp is really good. If you're just into video games, DS would be better, even if the games aren't all that popular, they're still fun.

I was dissapointed by the fact that I got my psp too early to get a 32mb card instead of a 1gig card. :'(
