If you are elarnign Japanese and need to draw kanji...it gets better when you use a NDS and actually youcan draw it. Also, who has no other activities on life and connect to internet via handhelds??? :P Internet on NDS and PSP is lame... one is slow the otehr is a nightmare to write something. Both can listen MP3...and Ugh...watch movie...unless you are a freak that doesn't know the word "TV"..go ahead. XD

Not really... If you're looking for a portable media machine then the PSP is an awesome way to go. But as a handheld game system, it's disappointing. It's lacking in top class games and it's hardly innovative, and with low battery life you might as well play a PS2 game instead. DS might not be as powerful, but it has the games and innovation to be a superior game machine. It can't all be about graphics power, pretty games don't mean quality games.

I'm really not on a side here. I think the PSP is a great system (partly because I own one) but the DS is a respectable console as well. The PSP has media, emus, graphics, internet, and all that good stuff. But even if you get around the ridiculously high price, theres still annoying load time, expensive memory expansion, lack of a second analog stick that would make excellent PSP games so, so much easier to design, and of course, the DS has touchscreens. :clapping:

It Depends on what you're looking for. If you want the best games, but not very good homebrew, go for the DS. If you want the medium between good homebrew and good games, go for the PSP. If you want nothing but emulators and homebrew, go for the GP2X. The GP2X can only be found online, though.I myself, own a PSP, a DS, all the gameboys. My PSP has 3.02 OE-B custom firmware, and my DS has a NinjaPass X9-TF flash cart. They are awesome, but the NinjaPass X9-TF doesn't do very good with DS homebrew, but for the roms, it's great.

I was mad when my fav game's sequal was on DS and not PSP! I wonder if I can play the original on my PSP, there are two versions PS1 and a GBC port.

it has a good screen (as long as it hasn't got pixeldrop (i don't have it a friend of mine does :( ) ) the movie quality is perfect, the games could be better i'm afraid.. i didn't dash into somethin that i keep on playing. the earphones suck big time.

The screen scratches easy...

i own both the ds and psp. i will say that psp is probally better but the ds has quite a bit more features such as a built in microfone and a gbs slot. However, the psp has built in wi-fi which can let you surf the internet without having to pay a penny. I know the ds has the abiltiy to surf the net, but you have to pay for the cartridge and its kinda slow.

Games wise, no way. Hardly anything on it I like, what there is is often PS2 ports. Some good stuff is out there, but not as much as the DS.It does shine in the homebrew stakes, really like playing emulators on mine. SNES stuff mainly, but SCUMM games like Broken Sword...best thing about the machine.

I don't see as many PSPs as i do DSs, but i guess that's to be expected since nintendo is the godfather of handhelds.

Honestly, the PSP holds no water next to a DS. Just look at the titles that have come out for the DS so far/what is coming out soon. It speaks for itself. For homebrew however... thats another story :(

Personally I like the PSP better but the games are kind of weak. Personally I think the touch screen is not so innovative and makes it harder to play games. That is just my opinion, I do think the PSP is the best handheld system.
