I just repacked my new Nintendo DS i. and will take it back to the store today. I tried to play my games using the R4 and DS showed that there was an error and would not play it. (there might be a patch, but I don't wish to waste my time), because its just not worth it to me. The cost or the color of the DS did not bother me, but like several users recommended, that if you already have a DS. Don't spend the money. I agree 100%.

Wow really?!? This is the best system Nintendo has brought out by far.Not trying to start anything since I use an Acekard myself. But try buying a game and play it. I own an assortment of games, plus I have the Acekard2i which works wonders on the DSI.

First, let me say I have the DSi. Overall I am impressed with the revised DS, but that is all this system is, a revision. From the time I have spent with the DSi so for, here is my impression:Pros: Larger screens, thinner, wider and ever-so-slightly larger stylus (better for grown-up hands), matte finish, power and volume buttons (not sliders), Wii-inspired menu, advanced wireless configuration, SD CARD slot (major potential here).Cons: Shorter battery life due to larger screens, advanced wireless configuration may not work with some older games (reportedly), does not auto-launch game in SLOT-1 at startup (do I really need to see the Health & Safety disclaimer EVERY TIME?), DSi Browser (free download from Nintendo DSi Shop) does not (yet) support Flash, so no YouTube, Hulu, etc...Neither pros nor cons (to me): two cameras (who cares twice), missing SLOT-2 (saves me the trouble of cleaning the cobwebs out of it...seriously, I never used it).I bought the DSi because my DSLite will soon become a hand-me-down, and I love the larger screens. I never have and never will play Guitar Hero (on any system, least of all DS), and I do not "link" games such as Pokemon for unlockables, so the loss of SLOT-2 is the least of my concerns. I could also do without the cameras, I just don't carry my DS around with me like that.

Why its awesome: uNo GBA slot, witch was kinda pointless in the end... Em^olestation. The cameras are kinda cool. The things it can do that are new are neat.Music player is always nifty, definatly a space saver for Nintendo nirds (I am one.)Why its pointless:0.3MP camera? There are cellphones with better image quality. No GBA slot kinda is a bit of a bummer.Same thing, only with some sparkles and on a diet.If you dont have a DS, you should pick this up. If you have a DS, its kinda pointless, but if you were already thinking of buying one that isn't scuffed up, might as well buy it, especially while the GameStop trade in deal is going on with the 70 dollars off for your old DS.

New DSi is listed as US$169.99, if you were the first week buyer at Target, they mailed out a $10 off for total $100 or more, so, made the DSi $159.99 plus tax. I got mine during the 1st 15 min on the release date. I chose Target, for the $10 off, & also, release date in US was Sunday, Target opened at 8am, there was no line what so ever !!It has Pro and Con, like all other are saying, but overall, it's a new DSi, you can live with or without, if you already has a DS Lite, regarding the GBA slot, well, get a AceKard 2i, you will not miss any GBA games at all.One thing I notice is: Nintendo make sure the charger are different from the old DS Lite to the new DSi..... so you got to carry both chargers if you have both system...

Got myself a DSi on the release date and so far not regretting at all. I did get the original NDS on the release date as well, so dated it looks next to DSi :( especially with the smaller and so much darker screen. The Nintendo's DSware has been quite an disappointment so far. Only thing that is slightly useful is the Opera browser, if you dont mind waiting that is

Just got the DSi and wanted to just reassure everyone(probably again) the Acekard 2i with moonshell is amazing works with the latest updates and probably the easiest thing to use ever. You can play gba and GB Roms on it. Also I'm working on putting Snes on too...but ill get back to you on that one. this is just a personal update.

Ugh... to be totally serious, I traded in my DS Lite to get one of these, and I've regretted it ever since. I lose my ability to play Final Fantasy VI for a camera I'll never use, wireless internet access that's too slow to really be useful most of the time, and a music player I can't use because I'm too cheap to buy the little memory card things. It made me kind of sad, overall, but I have no choice but to live with my decision now, so I'm making the best of it.

Whats so wrong with selling the GBA games for a few dollars and buying a flashcard? i mean then you get the camera and all the games that you could ever want? and the camera is kinda a personal preference i mean i don't have a cell phone and the DSi helps me out there. So far the DSi is better than the PSP for me and way easier.and if you don't understand something it says just use google! lol

Posted ImageThe DSi would not be able to compete with the psp in terms of graphics, due to the fact that games released on the DS would still need to be compatible with the DS phat and DS Lite.

One of my co-workers actually did the Game Stop trade-in deal. He traded in the old Nintendo DS & 10 games, he got the new DSi complete free! I think he made a very wise decision & got a great deal. If you don't like your old DS, it's time to trade it in before the deal is GONE!

Sure, let's get rid of $300 in game for a free system. That doesn't sound like a deal. That sounds like a frickin RIPOFF.

Anybody with a flash cart and wants to switch over to the DSi, beware...flash carts are incompatible, it seems!R4 DS - FailedEZ Flash V - FailedCycloDS - FailedG6 DS Real - FailedM3 DS Real - FailedSupercard DS One - FailediTouch DS - FailedFCard - FailedNCard - FailedM3 DS Simply - FailedU2DS - FailedHopefully hackers will develop a new way around this, but until then, if you want to use your flash cart, stick to the DS/DS Lite.

aparently toptoy or tt ds have a version that will work on the DSi :schmoll: but havent tryed it myself

That reply is to a post in November. There are flashcards that work with DSi. From personal experience I know that Acekard2i works just perfectly.

Just got the DSi and wanted to just reassure everyone(probably again) the Acekard 2i with moonshell is amazing works with the latest updates and probably the easiest thing to use ever. You can play gba and GB Roms on it. ...

You are playing GBA games with DSi?
