I still think the extra sound conversion and the camera are useless without games that use it.And since they lost the slot for gba games, its almost ridicules to buy one now.A piece of novelty that will fade out onless the games for it are good (ok that basicly true for every console and gamingplatform ...)But still, I still stick to my original DS.(PS : the regional locks, what do they do exactly? like if you bought a DSI in America, and you live in Europe, you can't buy games in Europe that'll work on the dsi? because my nephew did ...)

The region lock for the DSi does not restrict the DS games that can be played. The region locking refers to the downloadable games and to any DSi exclusive games that come out. You can still play games from Europe on an American DSi.

i kind of miss having the old gba slot on the ds, because it was useful to me. I still have some of my better gba games lying around (pokemon, etc.) that I don't want to get rid of just yet. Besides that however, I'd like having better picture quality on the dsi. the DSI shop doesn't really seem like much to me, but thats just because im not used to all of this downloading stuff.

Link here. It's an mp3 player, a camera, and a DS. It's about $180 USD. Worth it? I don't think so since I already have all those things.Edit: Made this the official topic.

i think the DSi is totally worth it because you can morph photos on it. however if you want toplay gameboy games on it, the DSi doesnt have a slot for gameboy.

The DSi DOES utilize the camera in its downloadable games. "Warioware Snapped!" uses the internal camera to play. I have that game, and it's actually really cool.

I think it's a cool idea but not worth the Xtra cash for the few features it adds... i don't like there being no GBA slot but do like the SD slot... really interested to see how they incoporate the cameras into future gameplay... if the DSI specific games were descent i would probably invest in it...can you play music while playing??? doubt it but that would be cool... want it but not badly enough for that kind of dough... will most likely wait for price drop or bundle deal...

Well I have mine for my birthday in 2 weeks time. I had a Lite a few years ago but sold it due to lack of use but I love the DSi! I am quite sad in that I like all the fitness stuff that's come out for it, I use my Wii a lot for fitness so this is a cool addition plus there is some cool new homebrew out there.I wont miss the GBA slot, the only game I played was Super Mario Land and I am hoping that if they do release GBA games on DSiWare that this will be one of them!

I think I'm going to wait to get the DSi if I plan on getting it at all. the DS Lite serves my gaming purposes, and its got better flashcard support. I would like to play my GBA games as well, so the lack of slot 2 is somewhat disturbing. I have yet to need a camera, and I don't use my DS for music, so those additions mean little to me unless it gets integrated well with a new interesting game. It seems the DS is moving closer and closer to a PDA, and I've definitely got some reservations about that.

I got the DSi. Even though I didn't have many games to play on it, I found it to be well worth the money, but here's the catch: you gotta have friends. You geeks out there won't have a single drop of fun without friends to show the picture you just screwed around with or to see the reaction to that simple phrase that now sounds like a squirrel on crack. Otherwise, aside from the DSiWare, you guys are screwed. : /

I got the DSi. So far, here's my review of it:The camera and voice recording thing (dunno what to call it =/) are a nice addition. The menu is pretty nice aswell. The DSiWare is pretty cheap and you can get 5 200 Points or 2 500 points. The premiums are mostly 800 points. No GBA Slot *points at friends/family who have a DS PHAT/DS Lite* =( I have a few GBA Games (including Sapphire)Bigger screens are much smoother (I see no pixelated game, or I have bad eyesight) and the Web Browser is a goodaddition, but it's pretty crap.So yeah, I give it a 8/10.

:< Well I guess this was expected. The only two things that sound promising are the SD card support, and the DSWare (assuming it is like WiiWare). Still, it would be a complete waste of money for me if I bought this; my DSLite should suffice.I just hope there won't be any (good) exclusive games for the new DS.

i agree. wiiware is pretty lame as of now so i'm not expecting anything good out of DSWare. i already have a camera and a music player. i like having a DSlite to play my old GBA games. i hope there aren't any games that actually require that camera. although knowing nintendo, they'll probably making incorporating that a requirement for developers now -_-

I just love the Nintendo DSi. The Wi-fi range is increased, there's a 0.3 mega pixel camera, a voice recorder, a store, a mp3 player and even an sd slot. and also you can download a web browser that allows you to check your email, send emails, go on random websites or search for cheat codes! The screen is also larger.but there's just one bad thing. the Game Boy Advanced slot is gone! This is just terrible because all those old Game Boy advanced games that bring back memories have to be sold. or if you have a Game Boy Advanced SP then that solves everything. The battery life is also decreased by an hour or two. Also the R4 (Revolution 4) and AR (action replay) can't be used. Last but not least, every Nintendo DS lite accessories can not be used because the charge hole is different and the Nintendo DSi is longer than the Nintendo DS.

I think its actually pretty good. Shure, no AR, but im getting the AceKard, so, yeah. If im desperate i can borrow my sisters (pink XD) dsl. The Camera is good, especally being on a game system, and i even found a subliminal message with the Voice Recorder. Barnie's Racist! If you say Untied States of America, it sounds like a little tune in germen! Im pretty shure that the DSi has better grafix than the other DSes, and extended wifi range. The DSi has 6 posable wifi setups, so if i really wanted to, i could play wifi while doing a walk around the block! The only Downside to the DSi is that it cant play DS Games, and the power button looks like the start button =X

i have an original ds.i really think the sd slot is great but then again the loss of the gba slot is a major down turn. maybe they will start selling downloads of gba games on the ds shop channel.the camera are alright and take fairly good image quality.i already have mostly aac files now so thats not a bad thing for me and you can go and convert music at youconvertit so its not a problem for me. plus you can edit the music there on the ds along with picture editing/mergingit can be worth it and is (if you have the origianl ds) at $170 so,i may get it
