na-un noit's just not well... NintendoCompanies like Microsoft and Sony make good systems by cramming in tons of features like cameras, video etc. into their GAME systems. Nintendo makes good systems with pure inovation (touch screen, wii-mote, and when the GBA color first came out, coloured games) this new DS just doesn't seem... you know... Right! I wouldn't be complaining if Sony did something like this... but i'm ashamed that Nintendo would even TRY to mash a camera into a DS.

I think it's not the first time that Nintendo tries to introduce a camera into its gaming system. If I'm not wrong Gameboy had a camera accessory that could be used with a printer. I believe that Nintendo put the camera in DS in order to introduce new ways to play games just like the touchscreen and wiimote did. Probably it's not a simple "extra" feature.

Personally, I'm not that big a fan of the DSi... sure, it might allow for newer play methods (if it doesn't, I'll be surprised). But I don't think it truly warrants a removal of SLOT-2, when there are still games that make use of it. The GBA connectivity between Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (among other titles), or the more recent Guitar Grip for GH: On Tour and Decades are two strong examples. There's also the rumble cart that was used in a couple of games, and I want to say there was one or two others. So really, I think that Nintendo should've put a little more effort in using the slot before deciding to outright remove it.

Link here. It's an mp3 player, a camera, and a DS. It's about $180 USD. Worth it? I don't think so since I already have all those things.Edit: Made this the official topic.

This... seems awesome. Even if I already have an MP3 player, I kinda want a camera, and it seems cool.

I will surely buy one when it comes out in north america. Just because it's a Nintendo product. I'm a big fan of Nintendo. Sad thing is that it won't have the gba slot. I will have to keep my DS to play at my games. Wider screen, better resolution, better system both logical and graphic. This will be awesome !

I kind of like it, so I will be considering considering to buy one, because I don't have any videogame...

Ooh! A 0.3 megapixel camera?! Tell me nintendo would it kill you to have put at least a 0.4 megapixel? why not 0.5? they're all low-tech now anyway!DSi wasn't a smart move IMO, but who am I to say since it already sold a million in Japan...At least Nintendo isn't as stupid as Sony. And we can all be thankful for that.

but the point is that they will try new innovate games by using the camera, kind of like the eye toyand with wi-fi connectivity it could make even better games... just think, there could be a community based photo scavenger hunt game. where you download a list of pictures to take, then go around snapping and uploading shots... there could even be timed challenges.

I'm so sick of everything being everything. I mean, why does the DS need a mp3 player and a camera? I already have an mp3 player and a camera. I have all those things on my cell too, so technically I have two of everything. I don't need more. But since it's a new release of a hand held, I want it. It sucks. It ruins me. Is it just me?

Of course it's not worth buying a DSi if you already have a DS, but that's not the point. It's to get people who wouldn't otherwise buy a gaming system to buy it. Nintendo is obviously targeting the non-gamer group, which isn't us.(I'll still buy one, though... my DS's hinge is completely broken and the screen is all scratched. ;; )

Not seeing anything that would make anyone want to upgrade. A 0.3 mega pixel camera? I'm pretty sure that is the kind of camera Wal-Mart sells to little kids for $10. MP3 Player? Flashcards! Smaller? DS Lite is pretty freaking small. I'm don't see how making it, what, 12% smaller makes that big of a difference. And the bigger screens aren't really big enough to care about. Granted, bigger screens are better, but not THAT much better.Nice try, Nintendo, but this is too little too late.

I agree. I've seen wal-mart sell 3 megapixel cameras for 10$. But thats not my point. I think the DSi will be quite a good system, depite the lack of "old features, but i will likley get it any way, just for multi usage.

It's a gimmick, just to get you to buy one. I think I'd get one for the novelty value. I'll also QUICKLY purchase one as soon as someone figures out how to run games directly from the SD Card port(assuming this is even possible)! I'm pretty sure that Nintendo has done the research, and covered the necessary grounds for that to not be possible without a hard mod. I feel like there will soon be an internal mod, allowing you to do so. When that time comes, I'll purchase one.
