What's kinda worse is that they REMOVE the GBA Slot on it.The basic DS is somehow a entertainment type. They endorse while mimicking the functions of a PSP. (sorry, comparing the PSP to DS)Evenly, some games has a secrets. Like Mega Man Star Force series.They put in game secrets by inserting a Mega Man Battle Network (RockMan EXE.) But you guys, know how to do it. Right?Sadly the DSi was still a bummer. They insisted to remove the GBA Slot because, no one is using it. (Seriously. HOW?)
Just the thought of wiping the floor with those Mavericks makes my trigger finger itch

It looks good, and it sounds good, but I have to say that I am a little disappointed. I already own an MP3 Player and a DS, as well as a camera. The camera probably isn't even that good on the DSi. And I own about 9 GBA games. If I can't play them, then it's hardley worth it.

Play them on your GBA/NDS, The DSi is for NEW games not OLD ones though they might release VC for the DSi. Its not like your gonna trade in your gba/nds for it. I'm sure the the DSWare will have something good or new games might incorporate DSi features into its use. What you guys are saying is like the DS is not worth it cause it can't play GBC games.It looks good, and it sounds good, but I have to say that I am a little disappointed. i think its fairly retarded considering the most wonderful thing about the DSi was its ability to play gameboy games and use the dualpak which was especially great for pokemon plus wo not so good cameras is pretty much a waste now isnt i call the nintendo DSi an utter fail.

Dylan100, VC = Virtual Console, kinda like emulation, well... it is emulation. The camera is a VGA .3 megapixel, but it's not that bad. Pretty decent considering it's also a DS. The price tag increase seems to be unnecessary to me, since a .3 megapixel camera isn't really "mega" anything since it's not even 1 megapixel hahaha. I don't see emulating the GBA on the DS possible due to hardware restrictions, but if they can do it, that'll be pretty sweet. The system looks pretty awesome, I hope they make the touchscreen more scratch resistant though, I've had two DS lites, my second one I've tried to be careful with, but it still got scratched up. Each day I want to buy the DSi more and more, I want to see if any flashcart will work on it though, the rumors of that acekard working are just rumors to me so far... no one I know has a DSi with that flashcart, so I'll have to wait and see.

I have one of these they're ok but i wish they kept the GBA slot because i lost my GBA and i used to ply on my NDS lite i dnt wanna have to carry around 2 DS's just to ply my GBA games

Well I like to have the best of every thing, so ill probably get it. Hopefully the browser is decent. Since its lighter and smaller it should be easier to carry around. It looks a bit more professional so I won't feel like a kid when I pull it out. The camera is that much of an intereat to me, so that isn't much incentive. I also hope nintendo makes the controls a bit better. I mean the touch screen is cool and all but the control pad os so much easier. The touch screen was horrible on Phantom Hourglass. This is also just a beta made to look like a new system to see what they need to do for the next real evolution in handhelds.
After five or so years of being on dgemu....i finally figured out how to change my sig....

Think of it this way. It's the same DS; same hardware with an music player, two low resolution cameras and a new menu interface. You can buy an mp4 player for about £20, and your mobile phone probably has a camera on it. If you have a DS Lite already, it's best to steer clear from the DSi.Link here.It's an mp3 player, a camera, and a DS. It's about $180 USD. Worth it? From what I have read about the DSi, it actually has 4 times the RAM that the original DS (and the lite one too) had. I do believe the two ARM based processors are the same ARM7 and ARM9 they always were but there is 16 mb of RAM now instead of the original 4 mb. On top of that I have read somewhere that it has 256 MB of internal memory(storages of DSWare stuff) That will definitely make web browsing on it more enjoyable. but I still doubt flash (web based flash, not flash carts) would be part of it.I personally see this as an attempt at a miniature/handheld Wii

It doesn't look very promising because I'm sure not that many people would pay two hundred dollars just for a few new games.It looks cool, but I'd probably never buy one.
