I guess I like ROMs better since I can speed things up a little bit. I mean, seriously, download the Tales of Phantasia GBA rom and watch the beginning. You'll know what I'm talking about then. Oh, and I also like where you can have save states, at those times where a boss drops something godly.

I definitely prefer the real thing to ROM emulation. My PS2 is a beast though, and has not broken down in the past 3 years we've had it. Overall, non-ROM games are also less laggy, especially if you're trying to play a ps1 emulator or an N64 emulator, you need a fast computer to run those. There is also the encryption that producers of ps2 games that make the CDs only able to run on a real ps2, so unless you have something to remove the encryption, you can't play ps2 games on an emulator. Plus there is also the chance that you get busted because you own ROMs without owning the actual game. But we won't get too far into that.

Real games. Roms are illegal, a disrespect to the developers, some don't work at full speed or correctly on a computer, and the controls aren't the same, just to name a few of their downsides. When it comes to trying a game I've never seen or that I don't want to buy though, I download a rom first. Problem is, DS and Wii games will definitely not run at a decent enough speed on my computer.

Tough to decide since with the real thing you'd be able to do more. For instance, the NDS... You can't blow into the emulator now, can you...? <3 But with the ROMs... Their free.... 'n' I know EVERYONE loves things free!! ^_^ Not to mention, you can save states for the ROM via the emulator, which makes the game probably easier to complete than playin' it on a actual console / handheld..... So... I'm goin' with ROMs....

I prefer real games because its easier for me to actually finish those, they seem easier to play on their original system, plus they run a lot better.ROMs can be good though, because they're free and in some cases you can speed them up. It's a good way to play games you can't easily go out and buy.

I much prefer gaming with the real thing. Emulators, imo, just aren't as fun or immersive, there's less incentive to play free games (sounds stupid, but I find it to be true for me), and I only resort to emulators for for games that aren't brought to the US.

Real games are good, but often you'll want to play a single game that exists only on a given console and it's not worthy to have the whole thing only to play one game, or you had bought a blasted pal version of the console and you want to play a jap game...

Roms are much better. There are several reasons:1. You can save anytime and any place2. It can be much faster than the real games3. You don't have to own the console in order to play games

I like being able to store all my games on one cartridge, those being ROMs, but not all games work on my Supercard.

I prefer Real Games if possible. Real games are always authentic. Also, they always going to sound and play just as you remember them. Real Games don't get viruses! Only down side to real games....finding the space to store em all. (and with older games, the hassle of blowing and cleaning and so forth of cartridges and all hail the NES's blinky and other glitch screens) ROMS and emulation are great also with a few hurdles you must leap. 1) Finding Safe Spyware and Virus free programs. 2) Finding roms that work and sound decently 3) Having a computer that will run said emulators and ROMS correctly. However, it is a great way to find some of the "old school" classics and arcade games we all have come to love over the years. Then there's always the good old standby guaranteed to work every time and guaranteed to be safe.....GAMETAP! Which you get an added benefit of having old PC games at your disposal with a constantly expanding library. In Short REAL GAMES FTW! But both are very good and have their perks and flaws.

roms is better than real game, because all i need is the speed buttom, space, i dont use cheatcode though, a lot of ppl get roms cuz of cheatcode options, but many time it can crash and corrup ur game and ur files on gba so it not good.
