As much as I love free games (and my alienware that I play them on) I also love having the real thing, especially cartridge games I love to fondle them and organize/collect them and play them on my tv using their original hardware.

I prefer the rom They're Free!! If you get a game you don't particularly like, your money isn't wasted. Just delete it and try another one. ^^good explanation

I mostly use roms, but the real game is good when you find a game you pariticularly like, and of course real game is ok for a present. Buying and selling used games is also a way for saving money.

ROMs have no special features whatsoever. The emulator however, does. But I'm going with ROMs. Who doesn't like a free game?

Agree, I have only 3 original roms...others are from this site :P

i mostly play roms but i prefer real games. playing a real game on my real DS makes it a lot more portable than carrying my laptop around. not to mention it's guaranteed to work because not all DS roms are compatible with all emulators.

Both. Say something happens to your real game and you don't have a ROM. Plus, the real thing is much more fun when playing it.

Roms for things you can emulate though a different source, basically not the DS and Wii, and to a extent, games like DDR.

Rom because it is free XD. Real game somethings cost money and they suck, if rom suck you can move to a new one.

The real games are best for me (well assuming the game is worth it). If i'm unable to get a copy of the real thing (i.e. it's rare or hard to find which seems to be the case for a lot of games here in South Australia) or I don't have the system and don't particularly want the system aside from a few games then i'll settle for ROMs. Then of course there's older games from systems like Megadrive, Super Nintendo which are more or less dead - in which case i'll settle for the ROM's (despite the fact that I own a Megadrive it's more trouble than it's worth grabbing a hard copy which would be hard to find anyway and besides: cartridges and hardware wrecks over time and my gamepad's buttons are screwed so I can hardly play the games i have!).

Real gamesThere's no better feeling than collecting them. Plus it's always easier to play with the original controllers

Roms can't even hold a candle to the real deal. End of discussion.

Real games are better. For one thing, it's more comfortable to be able to play it the way the designers planned it to. Also in doing so you buy the game and support the sequels of the series you like.

roms are better.with roms, you dont look like a 25 year old douchebag playing a gameboy all day. your just sitting at the computer like a regular guy., people might think your watching porn all the time, but better that than thinking your sitting there playing pokemon for hours on end.

I'll take the real thing over a ROM any day, but if I can't get the actual game, or don't have the console, emulation suits me just fine.
