For me, i prefer roms more than the real games because its more convenient. However, I will definitely try to find the real game first to show my support for the game.

i prefer real games because you get to carry them around with you so you can play when you're bored. not to mention some of them have half-decent online game play. but i'm usually too cheap to splurge on real games so i usually play roms.

ghmmmmm..... abt the question..... real games or roms...i really dont know what to say...... both have their advantages.....1st roms are free.....real games u may not find them for free.....afterwards.... roms r pretty much low on graphics.....roms also dont present movies on the rpgs...some do, but dont know if the game isnt supposed to have the movie clips, or they just dont appear....but its cool to watch those movies...specially on the rpgs.....real games got gud graphics present movies and all those things but i guess roms are not left behind..... they also have their gud part.... for example when playing we can state save....which helps a LOT..... i like them both...so.. cant say wether one of them is better.........

I find myself trying hard to get ROMs an ISOs on the actual system. I have a Dreamcast, and I download and burn everygame I can for it. nullDC is pretty good, but I like having the actual games on the system. I'm about 50/50 for DC.I own an NES, SNES, and Wii, and I do buy VC games for Wii. Just certain ones. PLaying it on a TV is easier and comfortable, but you can make those same accomodation for the PC. I use a fancy Samsung Syncmaster monitor, so I can put it on wide screen, and kick back on the couch, which isn't far away.I also have a GBA and PSP. I buy good games for both. But, I want to mod my PSP to play GBA, NGPC, so one games.

It's hard...Real games are usually better for me since they are usually whole and not faulty. Roms allow benefits like saving states (for some emulators anyway) and maybe faster speed (visualboy), but can be faulty like not being able to save normally...Also, like in pokemon games, time doesn't seem to pass in the ROM games, so i guess real games are better

The best is ROMS because is free and you don't need a real consol to play that.

Ho boy, do I have a lot to say about this...I'll try to keep it brief.1) I do prefer the "durability" of a ROM over a system disc. Litterally; if a disc is lost/stolen/damaged (scratched)/broken, you're (censor)ed. With a ROM...bam; it's there, permanently (unless you delete it). Had to re-purchase Diablo 2 because my game disc got scratched up. Not even from use or careless handling; it just got dusty over the years of non-use. :P 2) ROM's are also convenient because there are some games that aren't made anymore (big duh here), and aren't easy to get your hands on (via eBay, Amazon; used copies, or brand-new).3) Inter-platform. Companies like EA, Sony, Nintendo, and countless others like to claim they are the (censor), they know what they're doing, blah blah blah...but can't really make good ports (*cough,Capcom, cough*). Others just don't care to port to other systems at all (schmucks). With ROMs, anyone can enjoy pretty much any game.

ROMs are ok, but the real ones just enhance the experience. i would download a ROM if i had the game, but i will usually only download them in order to see if a game is good.

Ok the reason I like ROMs on my DS is because I dont have to carry around heaps of game carts. I just have the one and all my games are on there. Plus Im not that rich and can't afford to go out and buy every single game I want to get.

i think for long story-based games like FF7, the real thing is the way to go. But for great games such as Super Mario Kart, roms kick donkey (especially when you have computer controllers!)

I prefer the real thing, but since its too hard to find copies of older games, like SNES or even N64 these days, i settle for the roms, plus i own a laptop, so my roms go with me wherever i go

Well, I compromise...more or less. I'll buy the UMDs for my Psp, and only use GBA and DS ROMs.

I like ROMs more than real games. They're free, they will last until you delete them, and best of all, knowing there are people who work their arse off so you can emulate and play games. :gs:
