If I cleared the real game, I'll like to cheat so for cheating I use a ROM. Also if you never managed to buy a specific game, you can download the ROM version.

ROMS, because some people can't afford all of the videogames he wants and to games that are no more in circulation(example Illusion Of Time)

Some Roms have cheats like Mario or Yoshi. Thats good but some Roms doesn`t work.

Im a console purist. I collect SNES NES and Genesis games cause Id rather play them on my systems. I buy lots of repros cause even the translations are much better when enjoys on real hardware.Now Im working on building a mame cabinet so I can experience all my mame roms on tha real cabinet.

theres 1 problem with roms; if you need a special add on to your DS to run the game then you can't use the game :'-(

real games are better, but some roms are good too

roms --the price--no annoying disc or card you have to put in everytime--only one card for all your games

I prefer ROMs since I mostly play pre-Gamecube gen games and those are rarely available for me to buy legit copies of. The only time I pirate current gen games is if I'm considering buying a game and want to try it first.

I play ROMs for primarily two reasons: to preview a game before finalizing plans to buy it or not, and to simply play if it is too expensive for me or not available anywhere. Otherwise I'd be all over the real thing.

I prefer real games, but I play ROMS when I can't play the game that I want to play. This mostly being really old games like the original Harvest Moon, 2, 3 and the like as well as games for the NES and SNES, ect. I also play the DS games that I do not have access to, but when I do finally buy them I delete the game of it that I downloaded.Another beneficial thing about ROMS - at least for me in the Pokemon and Harvest Moon games is getting sprites.

ROMS and if I really like the game I go out and buy it for my collection. Having the actual box and inserts beats a ROM anyday.

Both have alot of pros and cons.For example, real games you need to buy it by wasting your savings, but for ROMS, it's free and you do not have to waste any amount of money. But, my choice is ROMS. Real games aren't as bad, they just waste money :/

ROMs are nice for testing up the game, but the real game always have that special thing. I just prefer having the real game.

actually if I buy something i need to play it through cause they cost u money.With roms u just simply download another game, that way u dont enjoy much of the game.

Real Games are better, but Roms have Freeze states. I think Roms win this round.

I enjoy my Real games, because I figure if a game is good enough that I want it, Might as well support the company.I only really use ROM's for games that you cant get in English (ie. KH FM (1 and 2) because I'm afraid to put a mod chip in my chubby ps2.)
