Yes. Some games have frightgened me in the past, especially if it was my first time seeing it. But, as always, experience and repetition leads to knowing what to expect, and the chances of being startled are diminished.

Damn!I remember playing Half-Life when I was 12 and hearing the grunts talk when I couldn't see them, that was quite scary for me!Half-Life's mod called They Hunger also made jump a couple of times.

System Shock and Silent Hill was kind of creepy and scary for me and I was only 12 or 13 when I played it.

I'd say Fallout 3.The level of human devolution (raiders, mercenaries, etc) and technological destruction is just plain freaky. I spent the next days googling up nuclear war survival plans,

Silent Hill 2 was a classic, there's no denying that. For me, it's latest installment, Downpour, gave me a few scares. Amnesia: The Dark Descent was a good, scary game on PC as well.A good third one: Super Mario 64. When I was little, Bowser's laugh would scare the hell out of me :lmao:EDIT: Oh man, how could I forget the best? My first horror game was Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. That's a damn good game, especially so early in the Gamecube's life. It's a game I highly recommend, especially to Silent Hill fans.

Sadly, I got terrified by the Shire section of the one Fellowship of the Rings game. Those Black Riders were creepy as all get-out.

Yes. I was afraid of this one game called Dr. Chaos since I didn't know how to play it exactly. Plus the invincible monsters that came out were pretty scary for the time. I was like 7 or 8 or something, and I got the game from Funco Land. So there were no instructions to it, and I din't know how to select anything or what triggered the monsters or anything like that. I don't think I have the game anymore, but I have tried it on an emulator and now I know what you are supposed to do.

Super Mario 64.
That damn piano!
Pretty sure I can thank drowning mario for the fact that I will never go under water for any reason. Also redeads from OoT but those kind of don't scare me anymore. The piano on the other hand...

One game that really frightened me was Minecraft.

Really, there are the skeletons, they are just plain scary in Mincraft, they come out of the dark when you digging out your mine then without any sound, they start shooting. Once I almost dropped my mouse because of a skeleton attack.

Another scary game was, Amnesia: The Dark Descent if you want to frighten, play this in the dark with headphones. When I first played with it I say to myself and to my friends, "this is not that scary, I can play with it in the dark", but when you are play it alone it gets really creepy, especially with headphones and in a dark room.
