"Return to Zork" scared the hell out of me back in the day, and just watching youtube videos of the gameplay even now, it STILL does. The theme song alone is enough to make me go totally rigid with fear, and omg. The guy who laughs every time you die in it still gives me nightmares. Just about anything and everything about that game still scares me...and my sister exploits this all the time. :P

I do remember the resident eveils frightened me a lot. Whenever I play this game, I see to it that I am not alone in our house. I don't play it during night when everybody is fast asleep. It really gives me shivers.

In Resident Evil 2, there was a scene where, as you open the door, zombies appear. As in, appear in the 'loading screen'. Scared me the first time. Also, that Licker that comes crashing through the ceiling window.

Yeah, Cry of Fear scared me pretty well plenty of times. I have Amnesia, but I don't want to play it because I've played the demo. Scared me ****less.

MOD EDIT: No cursing please.

Another game that frightened me was Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It was another game that I got from Funco Land, so again, no instructions besides a card I believe. I didn't know you were supposed to go through the dark cave and find the Candle in Parapa Palace, so that is where my 7 year old self ended the game.

I had all kinds of nutty games that were pretty hard from weird shops and stuff. Another one was Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum.

The Fatal Frame games are what get me.  The atmosphere alone gives me the willies, but when you combine it with the fact that you have to get in the ghosts's faces to get decent damage with the camera, it makes it scream inducing!!  I have actually woken people up at night because I was playing this game and got scared!
