u see, there is no one who would do anything unless it benefitted himself someway, hence nothing is truly "good"we are all selfish ppl and only look out for our own benefit, isnt that evil? yes it stems from our nature to survive, but that inherent selfishness makes us evilhehe i did a presentation on this topic b4

We discussed in our Humanities that humans our naturally good. According to what I learned, humans are created in the image and likeness of God. So that means that humans are naturally good.

I think humans only do bad things for they're survival.....

This is due to the fact that self-preservation is the most primitive urge of men. Fullfilling this urge without the knowledge of God may lead to chaos and turmoil since human will end killing each other; thus making humans bad.

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE AN INNER GOODNESS IN PEOPLE!People will always strive to fulfill their own needs - we are all as selfish. Even if some people have more compassion for people who suffer (I see myself as one of them), helping people in need is only a way of releaving your own pain.No action ever performed by any man or woman has been totally unselfish. We are taught morals and ethics and it is because many couldn't stand themselves breaking them that they don't break them. This is just an evolutionary design which has gotten us were we are now, the dominant species on earth.(this fact is only important to understand for total self-awareness, but not an excuse to treat anyone bad...)One important thing to realize is this though; although we are all selfish to the core there is a great difference between selfishly giving away money and selfishly keeping them. Evil is doing harm to people with intent. When you help starving children in Sudan to improve your self-image and when you rob a bank for money, there is a great difference, even though both were selfish acts. You can't say all people are evil because they're selfish. We all are, there's no escaping it, though if you selfishly do good things this is not hypocritical, it is good in all of its meanings...

Humans are naturally evil beings. I mean it is in the nature of people to war, be greedy, and other evils. So humans would basically have to be evil or else humans wouldn't naturally war or feel greed and other evils.

Are humans basicly Good or Evil?i believe they are basicly good (you must agree) thank you for your opinion

They are neither. It's a abstract concept created based on peoples own morals and ethics. What you might believe to be evil I may see as an act of good.

I really do not think humans are evil I mean after all does anyone know of any war that did not have a reason......... and what I mean by a reason is something as simple as they need or want more land to survive, if they want more land because they think that is the only way to survive then there's only one way to get it.... declare war. Secondly humans can be greedy as I think this has passed down since the cavemans time....... because back then if food was scarce greed would start to rise as if people weren't greedy they themselves would not survive and I think that this trait has passed on right to the modern world, however the issue is much more serious now as living in luxury is no longer an impossible dream as it was back then.

I tend to look at it from a philosophical standpoint. What is evil? Evil is merely the perception of what is acceptable for others according to one's own personal standards. So if a man does something that others view as "evil", yet in his own perception his actions are good, he will believe that what he did was not only justified but morally superior to the alternative which he personally views as "evil", which those very same others may have viewed as "good". So the point is that evil is only what you believe it to be.

That's a phylosophycal question. Humans do what they think would be good for them. Sometimes, it can be good for ones and seem evil for others. There's no general rule that says what's good and what's evil. It depends on the person

Humans are good of nature. But, when born, they get spoiled very quickly.

I have to agree with the poor translation of the upper quote of mine. (I tried -.-), anyway, I read it somewhere, and I thought it was fitting for this topic. My direct answer; Humans are good of nature.

most humans are born neither evil nor good, experiences shape them into one of the two. there are of course exeptions, people who are born with defunctions in their brain that make them evil, and somethimes with defunctions that make them really nice and kindhearthed
