Humans are good in essence. But when they are in a state of ignorance or misunderstanding they are like a traveler who finds himself in a thick mist. Thus the expression "being lost" as in lost sheep or once lost but now found.

I think most people just want to help themselves. Usually this is good for other people as far as the economy goes but it is also what causes crime.

neither, because it depends on the individual, nobody is a saint and no one is anywhere near as evil as Satanbut there must be a bit of good and evil in everyone for this question to even need askingafter all it is us humans who came up with the concept of good and evil so we aren't exactly ignorant in that area or lacking of either quality

i think humans are bad in nature.like, children need to be taught to be polite and share their stuff, and there's also feelings of greed and all that stuff. D:

I think all people start off being good; if they develop any negative traits, it's usually because of society/other people.

Humans are nuetral by nature, and altered by nurturing to become one or the other. Though, you must realize, even evil humans most of the time don't believe themselves to be evil.

Humans are a definite mix of both good and evil...and it depends on their personality as to which way they tend to lean towards

Humans are basically evil in my mind, especially in t he world we live in today where we focus on material wealth and social standing, people always seem to try and claw their way up the social ladder and anyone who doesn't try end up at the bottom, essentially outcasts. If one person is happy, another will be unhappy and the unhappy person will go out of their way to ruin the happy persons happiness, I've seen this countless times, and it is rare when a person goes against this. Even when one person helps another, they're doing it so that they can feel good about themselves, pure selfishness.Wow.... that was really jumping around XD sorry about that.

yeah, I've seen evil children, even babies can be sadistic, ever see a baby pull on a dogs ear? the baby doesn't care if it hurts the dog.

this would be a nice debate!i don't think we can define us to be either entirely "good" or "bad/evil"but looking at society, past and present, i actually do feel that humans are just "naturally evil", if that made any sense. hence why being good is valued so much. in my case, i find it harder to be good. this is why we strive to be good and do good. We are naturally evil.but at the same time, i've met people who i feel are naturally "good" beings without any hidden unconscious selfish intentions...

I say people are both good and bad. There's no perfect person who is always good in their whole life, or is there?

It really depends on the individual. There are some good people and some bad people. There are people that are out there, like doctors, helping people in poverty with AIDS, such as in Africa. They could be in a cosy office but instead are out in the hot desert. But generally there is an equilibrium between good and bad

it depends on your concept of good and evil. but i believe that humans are both. without those who are evil, we would not know what good is and without those who are good, we would not know what evil is. They are both one and the same, and viewed upon differently by each individual.
