Problem 1: define evilsome ppl think nothing wrong with murder, while others think of it to be the worst thing in the world.Really too complicated of a question to answer and you asked it like there was a simple answer

Humans are both good and evil, we all have our flaws which make us who we are.

We (humans) can be both good or evil depending on the situation and how they were raised

It's a matter of nurture, and evil isn't specific enough, is murder evil? Or is stealing from the cookie car evil?I just say we're good people who make bad decisions.

I think humans are evil because they are improving the world for themselves and because we are selfish people

We're all good. Anything evil is caused by trauma, like a warp in our minds.

Humans basically? So what are humans stripped down to basics?Hunters, providers, cookers, survivalists? You're talking cave-man style.Sure enough Cave men couldn't launch a nuclear weapon but each has the potential to kill still. Humans are no different from any other animal in theory, in basics, they kill for food end of.

I agree with you. Humans (especially when drunk) are base creatures. In the end, our instincts win.

It depends, people may be good but others think it's fun or nothing wrong to kill people, like someone randomly killing someone near my area.

This is tricky question, but let us boil it down to something that can actually be discussed. What is good? What is evil? I will define good to be one who puts other people in front of himself, and evil as one who always puts himself in front of others. This definition itself may be controversial, so here is my reasoning. "Good" changes in different cultures, as does "Evil". We view good and evil from a view inside one culture. Good people follow the rules of the culture, bad people do not. However, when there are rules that define a culture it as about interactions between people. If the laws and rules were every man for themselves, rules would not be needed. As it happens, rules exist to tell people when they should do things for other people, like paying taxes, jury duty, not killing, not stealing: all instances of checking your natural drive to act only for yourself. That makes people who break these rules, whatever they happen to be bad, and people who do it knowing they are breaking the rules and take pleasure in breaking rules are called evil. What this boils down to is putting your own desires or the desires of others first. Now that this is sort of explained, we can continue the discussion. For a human to continue to exist, he has to find a mate and reproduce. In this process itself there is a contradiction. To attract a mate you need to sacrifice your own needs on occasion, but you are doing so for a inherently self-serving goal, namely to ensure your families survival. Neitzche says that all humans are self serving, but realize they need to interact with others to survive. According to this, people are naturally "evil", but pretend to be "good". So if someone is good enough at always being "good" whenever he is around people, there is no way to tell him from a really good person. At that point, the distinction is meaningless. So in accordance with Hobbes and Neitzche, I think all humans are at base self serving, but at the same time, do to rules, laws, and birth into a rigid society, do their best to be "good".

Humans are human. They never do only good or only evil, so labeling them as either doesn't make alot of sense.

the ideal of "good" and "evil" is silly, there is no such thing as absolutely "right" or "wrong"in fact, relative morals are also quite sillyhumans are born self-centred. we care for things that will benefit for ourself, be it mental satisfaction or physical satisfaction. we are all essentially selfish, and even the most selfless acts are done for this thing called "social image"
