Humans are base, and do what makes them happy = evil. But because humans have a tendency to want to conform, so they form to society and since society decides actions like that humans aspire to be good and do good. And on a hole basically humans are evil but because of a higher train of thought and need to conform they perform good so...thats humans in a nutshell

Humans are neither Good nor Evil. We are a naturally neutral race that seeks to learn more, despite what you think, and with what we learn we use things for the Greater Good and, in a chain, Greater Evil.Another reason of Neutrality is the fact that Good and Evil have no set definitions as they are based off of one's Morals. Morals that change with societies, religions, and other things. Sometimes Morals will conflict with another society's Morals in which case neither will claim the other to be Good and them to be Evil, thus Good = Evil.

I dont think anyone is basically good or evil, its just the choices they make, make them good or evil.

After reading Lord of the Flies my opinion has changed drastically. I used to believe that humans were basically good, and that society, being so anti-work and leisurely and what-not, brought out the evils within. However, because of William Golding, I now believe the opposite. I believe that humans are essentially ill, evil, and that society helps keep the balance between the good in us and the evil.If you're looking for a good read, Lord of the Flies is amazing.

Humans are both, we all have good and evil in us, it's a matter of keeping the balance between the two, so few do that though.

Loved that book, but I derrived a diffrent idea from it. At the begining when the kids tried to fourm a soceity, they themselves defined what was good and what was evil. Then near the end wehn the kids spit into their diffrent groups, they re-defined good and evil. The message I got from that book was that the idea of good and evil is somthing humans invented, it's tottaly irreleveant to the world around us. Good and evil are very personal the the individual, so reall what's good for you might be evil for me and vice versa. There is no such thing as good and evil, they are just tags we place on things personally.
