its similar to how some psychologist argued that were all homosexuals who surpress the homosexual urges: we are ALL evil, but just surpress the urge to do evil things

I think people are all the way they are because they are trying to survive. If one person is hated their entire life, they would probably be bitter and want to hurt somebody, therefore they would be 'evil'. If someone had a great life, they wouldn't feel the need for revenge, and therefore would be 'good'.

You cant judge the basis of every human being on this planet if we as a species is good or evil because we from all living things on this planet have the ability to chose betwin right or wrong.

Humans individually are basically, neutral. They do no great good or evil. If you count what we do to survive (hunt animals and kill them for food and clothing etc.), then we would still just be neutral because we need to do those things to survive. They dont do things to destroy the natural environment (usually) nor do they kill more than they need to survive. But the human race as a whole, is basically.. well evil. we destroy the natural environment by over consuming natural resources, polluting the environment, and waging wars on eachother which leads to massive destruction of land. We drive species to the brink of/to extinction because of this over populating, and by over consuming certain animals. If left to our own devices the world would be in chaos. There would be murder, theft and just plain anarchy. To go more indepth, the human race is just a plague. We overconsume and we procreate way too fast. We are basically a cancer on this planet and will continue to destroy it until there are no natural resources left, or until there is no more room for us, and then we will move onto another planet (if technological advancements will allow us to do this) and the cycle will restart itself. This is the same thing that bacteria, cancer, germs and parasites do. They find a host, and drain it until it cannot sustain life anymore, and then they move on to another host (this is true for everything mentioned, but cancer, as it is not alive {basically} and cannot move from one host to another). We call those bacteria, cancers, germs and parasites "evil" so why not label the human race as this. ALTHOUGH, it is not humanities fault that we are like this. "God" or however you think we got on this planet, gave us the ability to grow mentally and advance ourselves technologically and therefor it is not our fault that we are driving this planet to destruction. We are the way we were programed to be, and we cannot be blamed for this. Would you blame the computer that hacked into your computer, and destroyed all your files or would you blame the person who created that computer?Answer that question, and you will find out for yourself whether humans are "Good", "evil" or just "neutral"...

what do you consider destroying the planet? We do not destroy it we simply change the form of its matter, billions of years ago bacteria that breathed in Carbon dioxide and excreted oxygen were killing aneorobes everywhere, Were they evil? If they hadnt of done this none of us would be here and the atmosphere would be completly different. And why is it right to kill plants but not animals they are both living breathings the only difference is intelligence, so what your saying is its ok to kill something as long as its intelligence is below a certian level?

I think good and evil are choices, besides good and evil is irrelavent because it's oppinions as to what is good and what is evil but I won't go into that...I believe that someone is born without any evil acts (sin in religion) or good acts. If the baby dies in the womb then I think the baby goes to limbo because s/he has not done good even though they haven't had the chance to do bad. Kind of unfair but i guess it's like karma. Besides, if using those terms, you can't have good without evil, i think in the end humans are a bit of both

The base human is evil. If you want an explanation, I could maybe not be so lazy and give one.

Even though sometimes I say some people are good or evil, it's based on what I think about them (Heck I might be the evil one and they are the good one). As I mentioned somewhere before, I don't believe that good nor evil exists because we do what we think is right or what needs to be done. You probably think someone is good when they can really be doing something that you think is evil, or vice versa.

Who are we to judge that whether we are good or evil. Good and evil cannot be defined definitively. What someone sees as good can be viewed as evil by others. Good and evil is so black and white. This is life, not some fiction book.

I definitely agree with Tolismer. It's hard to discern what is good or otherwise. If you were to be asked, "what is good, and what is evil?" would you be able to answer that? Gets more complicated in times of chaos, like war.

I would say depends on the human. In my case I would say 98% darkness, 1% evil, 0.5& mean, 0.4% demon like way and at last 0.1 % purely good.

We start out pretty much neutral. And then things in our lives influence us and we change. So really... Humans are just ... neutral to begin with. Really, I don't believe in the "You are either good or you are bad" thing. Something I do may seem right to me, but wrong to another. But because society has already set a standard for what is right and what is wrong, we deem one correct and one not.
