I agree fully with Laohu, materialism just leads to 'evil'. Us as a nation, wether it be America, Canada, wherever you are, we all depend on technology to do our stuff for us. Who here has a toaster? Who here had a washer machine? We rely on these things to do stuff for us, which in truth gives us freetime. We've lost our survival instinct in full, causing us to think in different way than they did back then. More on the lines of materialism, which in term we get over posseive over things, wether it be between two brothers or two nations.Well, I think this is relative. See, back in the day of our nomadic ancestors (or in nomadic tribes still alive and "thriving" today) crime was very low. Why? We didn't have too many, if any, personal possesions. Nomads tend to move around alot (hence the name) so having a box of jewelry is more a hindrance than a value. I can't remember where I heard this... oh wait, never mind, I heard it in the song of Disney's The Prince of Egypt. I can't remember the exact phrase, but it basically says that a lake of gold in the desert is worthless compared to a cool, fresh spring. In nomadic tribes, arguments and fights were also very seldom. For one, there really isn't enough time when you're trying to focus on survivial. And secondly, you'd kill off your entire tribe if you mess up even the slightest bit of their system with a fight. Killing or injuring even one person could mean the entire annihilation of your people. However, now we have more time and tools that allow is to worry less about survival and more about luxury. And stealing $500 from Wal-Mart isn't going to cause a life/death situation (unless what you stole is branded "Made in Taiwan", etc). So, since the result of most crimes do not influence us directly if we don't get caught, crime is easier on our conscious. It does not mean we're evil. It just means that, when it comes down to it, materialism and technology will be the fall of our empire. But if you're a True Faith Christian, you already knew that. ^___^

I see no reason why one must agree. Also I see no reason to give an opinion to determine the truth. To answer your question.... Yes: many (or most) are evil. The exterior looks quite good very often but if you can look past that and you take a peek into their soul, you might notice certain things with many of 'em. I speak of things such as ugliness, rottenness, evil, wickedness, pure destructive selfish behaviour, weakness, and so on. This weakness might lead to evil, this weakness forces them to be like that and to feel strong.Whatever. Anyway... there is much evil and it is not just human (beast-like) nature.... it is nature itself (of which we are a part) which is cruel, brutal, and evil. And if you want to test a person you know in real life whether he or she is "good" or "evil", just put them in a very comfortable powerful position to be able to DO evil. Put them in a situation where one might expect certain reactions and behaviours and you'll see what happens. Are humans basicly Good or Evil?i believe they are basicly good (you must agree) thank you for your opinion

yes, I'm in agreement with your opinion. There are too many variables that need to be considered in this matter. It is not a black and white idea, there are lots of grey area around it though...And judging an action from one side will never give the ultimate truth. I'd better stick with a saying "every cloud has a silver lining".I guess you could say that people have "good" characteristics and "evil" characteristics. To me, the human reace seems a bit too complex to to catagorize is any sort of black-and-white, simple-and-clean manner.
