My girlfriend was over and I couldn't sleep right away after we did our thing so I went out in the living room and played it on the couch for an hour with no sound then came back to her and went to sleep. I felt kind of bad even though she didn't mind or see any problem with it. She was actually glad that I let her sleep instead of tossing and turning so much like I had been.
On that post about "in between a group of PSP players" what I have the ability to do in that situation is finish playing the level, save the game, put my DS back in my right pocket and pull my PSP out of my left pocket saying "oh yeah?"

The toilet is the strangest place for me, or rather, the toilet stalls at my university. I just can't get enough of my Dr. Mario.

The bathroom hands down. It's kinda funky to play games while on the toliet, but hey no one bothers you!
Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou: Cute girls + games = Win

I've played at the back of a lecture theatre. Best use I saw though was in hospital- a 93 year old lady playing on a DS in her bed after a hip operation. Dunno if a grandchild had brought it in for her, but maybe it was hers?!

At work on my break sitting on the bench near my workstation while wearing full uniform and telling customers to find someone else to help them I was busy =]

It seems that the toilet is a very common place to play, I have done that since childhood. Probably the weirdest place I have played my gameboy would be in a tree (It was a nice day and my mom had told me to go outside).

While taking a bath. I don't know what I was thinking at that time, but I'm just glad that my DS never got wet.

A majority of my playing time is in the bathroom. But I guess the strangest place I've played the DS was in City Hall doing Jury Duty.

In class, hidden under the desk so the teacher wouldn't see. Ah, memories...

I used to do pokemon battles during my AP Lit class. That was probably the weirdest place I have played my DS since it was very obvious we were battling (some people would yell across the room) and my teacher chose to ignore us. Still got an "A" though, my teacher loved me for some reason.
The weirdest place I can imagine playing a DS would probably be during a funeral. Or maybe during the middle of a first date. That would be awkward

I've played on my DS during my Japanese class a few times. The weirdest thing was the reaction of the teacher
"What are you playing?" in all earnest.
Another weird place I've played on my DS was the study centre at my university.

definitely in the bathroom to get away from my parents nagging at me to get off the DS.

hmm, in the toilet? or a dark corner of school when you are trying to skip classes and not get caught? lol

Whilst getting a tattoo done is a good idea! Although mine is on my forearm so I guess I wouldn't have been able to...
On the loo, on the train, on a flight would be the usual "non home" places, sorry not that weird!
