I play while doing #2 on the toilet. That's why handhelds were made!! Though judging from the posts here, I think its no longer considered weird anymore!

Graduation ceremony. :oAt my own grad ceremony from college, I didn't have a DS yet--but played my gameboy advance.I did play my ds at my boyfriend's grad ceremony though... (but only through the speeches that weren't all that exciting)... he was playing his too.

oh man, it's like almost everyone said they played their DS' in the bathroom/washroom 
That was mine! Haha, well, other than that, I've played on the bus and on my summer break trip to the Philippines. I played it all the way from one airplane (and stops) to another one...until it ran out of battery and I had to recharge it near a telephone booth

I do not allow my DS in places I deem "strange". My semi-OCD makes me not want to do that. I basically only play in my house or at a friends house. I don't really take it into public.

the weirdest place for me would have to be in a shopping centre while waiting as my bf did his xmas shopping and then running to the carpark to recharge bcos i saw a powerpoint near where we parked!! oh and of course the bathroom!

I played my DS in the gym before. It was so awkward that I'm the only one playing my DS at the same time running at the trendmill.
