GG used to be good back in the old times. Much better than a gameboy or whatsoever. The only thing that sucked was that you could never play a whole game through with batteries. Especially the TV Tuner rocked (of course not comparable to the gaming stations that come out today).

Gamegear was the first gaming system I was allowed to own, as I was brought up in an arcade and my parents thought that they didn't need to buy any home gaming systems when I could just go play at the arcade. I still have it but its in storage right now. So as far as I know, It works and I have about 10 games for it at least still, even though I know I did give away the Home Alone game. I had sonic 2, sonic chaos (whis was the better of the 2 in my opinion), a tetris knockoff, beavis and butthead, donald duck, stargate (a puzzle game based on the movie), James Pond 2, Itchy and Scratchy game, and Krusty's Funhouse. Excuse me if I'm getting these wrong but Krusty's Funhouse was alos a puzzle game where you tried to guide all the mice in Krusty's Funhouse to an execution station. I usually played it with a Sony 9 volt plug-in adapter...obiously non-standard and also have a game genie for it. Now I'm into playing GBA roms on my laptop.

Oh yeah! I've still got my old gamegear, and I still play it and love it! In fact, I don't hav eany of the newer systems...kinda lost interest after sega died.Funny Story:I was working at a pool the other day as a desk attendant, and the pool clerk kid was like 15 and when I pulled out my gamegear to play, he didn't know what it was... that is so sad... everyone should know about gamegear...Brian

After I got married and my wife and I were moving stuff into our new apartment, I found a big SEGA case amongst her things...I opened it up and there was a Game Gear with about 35 games and all the accessories...It was so sweet...Mine broke a long long time ago....
