No armor kinda ruined it for me. Its still a fun game but I think Fable 2 is better because I over played fable 1.

Fable II was still fun as hell but Fable took home the cake with the epic dragon duel.

Dragon duel? I've played and beaten Fable but I'm not sure what you're talking about. What dragon duel?

Is anyone willing to part with a little information of what Fable II is like? I'm thinking of getting it. I didn't get Fable and now I can't find it anywhere. I do know that the stores around have Fable II obviously but I don't know......Is it good?

Fable 1, hands up. I'm not sure why, but the second game just got... boring, I guess. Maybe it wasn't easy enough for me to keep playing without much interesting storyline- it definitely wasn't too hard- but I just got bored with it one day.

Fable: the lost chapters cause you get to kill a dragon. Fable II was way too short and no bows.

I love both of them, but if I had to choose it would probably choose the first one, I'm just more addicted to it.

Maybe I'm just easy to please, but the guns were enough to make me like Fable II (much like the lazers and Mutants in Fallout 3 made it much better to me than The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion)Personally, I liked the storyline of The Lost Chapters better than Fable II's story. The final boss of the Lost Chapters is phenomenal, too (Wish I could say what it was, but I know I'll get one or two "OMG SPOILERZZZ!!1!" for doing so. Just play the game), and far better than the final "confrontation" (sadly, there really isn't a final boss in Fable II. and by "Final Boss", I want a Big, bad-ass demon that'll take a ton of hits and several Game-Overs to beat. Not a one-shot-you're-done kind of thing). I also disliked how there aren't as many legendary weapons as in The Lost Chapters. However, I liked the gameplay of Fable II much better. for the most part, the game was more balanced than it's predecessor. For one, in Fable: The Lost Chapters, one can start stealing items early on in the game. This can get a new player lots of money and good equipment from the get-go. Now, some people like the game for this reason, but for me, it makes a game more boring. It's the same case with The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion: It's REALLY hard to make lots of money in that game, but there is a glitch that can allow someone to duplicate items that are worth a lot of money, allowing players to create an infinite goldmine. At that point, however, the game becomes overwhelmingly dull, as all the effort in playing the game well, and earning your equipment is pretty much destroyed. That's how Fable: The Lost Chapters got pretty boring for me, with overkill against weak enemies losing it's thrill quickly, until I progressed enough in the game to face creatures on-par with my stats and armor. Now, in Fable II, there is much less to steal, and it's also somewhat harder to get away with it. You still have to earn your bread in Fable II, thus bringing back the challenge of having to earn your items, and also bringing back that satisfation of earning that gem-encrusted rifle you proudly brandish in a crowded city square.Co-Op is pretty great, too. I remember the nagging my siblings gave me while playing Fable, while they want to play a multiplayer game or something. Fable II changes it up by having Co-Op, with a henchman you can bring along. As much as I'd like to play as my character in a co-op game, the henchman system is much more balanced: The henchman can choose what kind of weapon they want to bring along, but the power of their weapons are based on the main player's level (IE: If the player just started the game, they won't be bringing henchmen with Master level weapons).Well, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I dunno, I just liked Fable II better than Fable: The lost chapters. It's hard to think of specific reasons, since both games were absolutely phenomenal. It's like trying to compare Oblivion and Fallout 3.

I was super excited about Fable II prelaunch, I preorderede it, waited patiently, and was impressed over the things I expected to see. They used a total of 1500 programs for EVERY SINGLE LEAF ON EVERY SINGLE TREE. The time and effort to do this must have been rediculous, and it really is noticable. I mean every leaf turns every which way on its own, while simultaneously following the wind like movements of all the other leaves. The game was really a work of art graphically, and very sound physics for the most part. The downsides are extreme as well tho, as the bow was one of my favorite ways to play Fable 1. The new guns are kool tho, n more than make up for them. The dog in II is awesome, and oddly you feel slightly attached to him at the end of the game. You can be a chick, you can have kids, who mostly are either perfect little angels or the spawn of satan, and you can have sex with so many prostitutes and prostidudes that you will be surprised, yes you will be surprised. The story mode was pretty much the same style, except with a COMPLETE lack of an end boss battle, which was bu far the least satisfying discovery in the game. Both are great games tho, andboth are pretty replayable.

in my eyes they were just two completely different games. Fable 1 was a real RPG ina sand box world. Fable II was more of this action adventure game... But in reality i would of gave it to fable II but i cant justify giving a action adventure game the edge that did not have one BOSS in the game...... So fable one wins only cause it had a good variety of bosses... VS none.I just do not see how they thought a action adventure game can go on for 20+ hours without no bosses! not even a end game boss.. Their was no challenge what so ever. And no real incetive to do side quest... FAble III is going to be more on those lines to an extreme now that you wont even need to buy weapons cause your wep will evolve with you... I just hope this time their are not just bosses but a mass amount of bosses and more of a reason to play after the story.
