In FF VIII, I found that the best way to beat Ultima Weapon was to have Irvine in your party. Give him an Aura then have him use his AP or Pulse Ammo limit break. That stuff did 9999 damage a turn! A couple of Irvine Limit breaks would finish Ultima Weapon off. Just hope he doesn't die.

Another way would be if you have squall limit break lionheart and strength of 255 then he if he use it ultima weapon will die in the first turnThe bad thing is squall doesnt use lionhearts to much, This really works

Not many people would know this but you can beat any boss in that game with a few lowsy attacks all you need is a good stratigy like this One I came up with-PS this is unbeatable.--sints bosses in that game stay on the levil of your charracters be sure not to upgrade to of them at all. keep there level at basicly nothing as low as possible. the get squall 2 level 100 and put the other 2 with your party and sints you don't get expeariants for boss battles in ff8 you don't need to worry about them getting up levels. The enamy with not stand a chance - your suqall will kill it easy. just don't die.Use his limet and They will be dead - Even oltima wepon will be trust me it's an stopable tactic

I actually used this strategy too. In about 6 hours, I had Squall at level 100 by just fighting in the Training Centre (yeah, it's THAT easy to level up in this game and the area on the door to the left doesn't have T-Rexes so there's no risk). So when my level 8 and 9 characters joined, all the enemies' levels were halfed making Squall insanely more powerful and of course the enemies were on just high enough levels for squall to draw the rarer magics from them (I got 100 Firagas, Thundagas, Blizzardags's, and Curagas in the first area alone and when I fought Dialbos Squall was able to Draw 100 Flares and 100 Holys while still having enough strength left to defeat this nemesis). Obviously, there are certain enemies (like the T-REX) that need specific GFs to defeat as you will need specific stat boosts or Status & Elemential Junctions. It may be too late for you though zeroality since you've already levelled up, but if you decide to go for a replay, keep this strategy in mind. Also, dead characters don't count. If you go into battle with a level 100 squall and two dead characters, the enemies will once again be at level 100 with you.

Sorry, djnforce9, but I find kinda lame to train characters to the 100th level in the Trainning Centre!; Why not going to Islands closest to Hell and Heaven? 'tis my opinion...

it was MUCH faster to just train squall too 100 right off the bat. Then I don't have to worry about it later and like I said, I get all the benefits of better magic right in the beginning. I don't think you'd normally get the "-aga" spells so soon. Naturally, I never use magic (it's too weak), I just junction it to boost stats. It'd make an excellent challenge run though. Can you beat the game without GFs and hence junctioning. You'd REALLY have to plan things out. Anyhow though, yeah it can seem lame (since it can get tiresome), but my first RPG was dragon warrior (where you pretty much have to level up to max to even win) so I have a strong tendacy to level up like mad in EVERY GAME. heck! in Xenogears, I got Fei up to level 80 in the Shevat ducts so he could learn his ultimate deathblow  BOY! was it worth it though.

What I did was I just gave Squal, Zell, and Irvine Aura and a Holy War. I gave them counter as well. The trick to this is you have to put the helping magic before you use a holy war or it doesn't count. Use Meltdown on that stupid Weapon so his defense goes to the pits. Then use Irvine's Fast Ammo with Strength 200 something by junctioning Ultima to it, then have Squall with 255 use the Renzokuken, and do your best with Zell's 200 something strength and Dual. I happen to be a superman when it comes to Dual and Zell; I execute those commands in a fraction of a second. If I'm given 10 seconds of command time, you can expect a lot of punch from Zell that can RIVAL Squall's Lionheart limit break. Don't use meteor strike alot though, it acts sorta like Demi; after a few hits, the damage goes down a little. I find it good for a lot of enemies with over 9999 health. Be fast on the trigger with Irvine and fast ammo. I unloaded about 50 shots on the Weapon the first limit break and I had to use demolition ammo after that so I could have a nice 9999 punch and not use my AP ammo (Saving it for Ultimecia). For Squall, just keep him going good with the Renzokuken Trigger hits. The Holy War will keep your people alive throughout the battle so just refine it off of the Gilgamesh Card. If you don't have that, you should just steal a Hero from Siefer or refine the Laguna Card for 100 heros. Otherwise, have Shell on and godspeed!

I don't care what you are doing, so much
as the idiotic way that you are doing it.

Definitely go with Squall and his lionheart. That's the best way to beat any boss on that game. I used Irvine and Zell as well.

You have to have Zell and Squall at 255 and use their special moves. Use Selphie to heal and you'll be alright.

There were different kind of way to play FFVIII, u know....Well,for those who lazy or love challenge(???),this is how...Dun train ur char, not even a single lvl...Juz go through the what u usually do,except to training...Since boss battle only provide u AP and no EXP,u wun lvl up... U may say it was hard or insane, but it was really fun...If u ever need item for refining weapon, juz convert ur card....Need magic? Island Closest to Heaven or Hell(juz make sure u equip the No-Encounter ability)Doesn't have enuff AP for skill since no fighting? There was an exception. Kill as many Cactuar as u can. Each Cactuar provide 25AP AND 1EXP only.Watcha think? :D

Just summon DoomTrain and cast aura and haste on your heavy hitters like Squall and Irvine then kill him.

Havent played this game for a long time but i found that the best way to beat hard bosses was to have zell with 255 strength and ultima junction to his luck also usin his dual very often allows you to become so good at it that u can execute 3-5 attacks in a single second and with high luck half of these will be doing 9999 each hit i beat the omega weapon on my second attempt mainly doing this without any of that invicible s***

Fast enemy, but you'll get chance to kill it. Use Meltdown on it, then use Squall's Lion Heart, and it will die just with Lion Heart.

hey guys did you know that if you have squall at a very low level all the bosses would be at the same level as squall just too point that out so you can even beat omega weapon with out a prob in FF8 .
