Not so much anime or video games...But whenever the villain in the old Scooby Doo cartoons would wait behind a corner close to the gang and laugh maniacally. Even as a 6 year old, I always wondered why they didn't just turn around and apprehend the dude right there.

Games usually have thin background plot lines, if you know what I mean. At least in my opinion. The main plot is stronger because it's more focused on.If the background was focused on more too, then the games could be more exciting.

mmh.. yeah that main character getting stronger the more they are hurt is pretty lamestill, doesnt bother me that muchand when the main character beats all the strongest dudes in the world and gets a trillion times stronger as of then, they later on get owned by that same guyae bleach: ichigo beats kenpachi w/o bankai first.... then he gets bankai, he gets the hollow mask thing, he also gets waaay stronger just without those things... and when they fight espada 5 (which also has numbers 3 and 8 on his tounge) ichigo cant beat him coz hes torn up from espada 6... and kenpachi beats espada 5 which is stronger than espada 6also pokemon alltogether bugs me... disguises of team rocket , overexitement on every fing thing! ash beeing hero in every movie and rescueing every legendary beast noone has seen ... and more of that bs of pokemonand last but not least.... death note ending :gay2:

This is more of a scedule thing I guess, but I hate when great shows like Bleach, Death Note, and Lupin III get pushed back really late by shows like Shin Chan, Moral Orel, or (god forbid) shows like Tim and Eric: Awesome Show Great Job.

In almost every single game that involves shooting people, you can shoot them in the hand or foot a couple of times and they die. It's still a fun game, but it makes you wish you just had a cannon or somthing...

the cutscenes---over half of them just waste your time but sometimes there is the odd one that gives useful info so you have to watch them all just in casealso, parts in a game where you need the walkthrough(super paper mario--the blocks that you have to hit in the right order 20 times to unlock a hidden door)

The cliche scenes that appear in every single RPG annoy me to no end. You all know the ones. First, we meet the bad guy who utterly annihilates us. We survive thanks to one of his "henchmen" who will join our team without any of their previous skills which made them nearly invincible. You train for the final confrontation, all the while fighting other henchmen who keep telling your new friend that he is a traitor or that he should come back to them. If he does, you can be sure of one of two things:
  • they will die or
  • they will come back to you with a plot device.
After all the training and fighting, the final battle takes place in a secluded area so you will gain no notoriety for your conquest, usually on a very shiny stage with a very flashy backdrop. The final boss will go through at least five different forms before finally revealing their final, hugely evil looking and monsterously weak form that will die almost instantaneously. Everyone will be tired and shocked that they won and the last boss will have a change of heart saying "kill me and save everyone" or "I can't go on, just leave me and save yourselves" four out of five times, the stage and the area will either explode or vanish and the boss will go with it. At the end, everyone parts ways, never to meet again except the main character, their love interest and their parent who is bound to have joined the party at some random point (probably the bad guy turned good). This setup describes nine out of ten RPGs and pisses me off.

Lol.... hilarious topic....What I really find annoying is how game companies continually repackage games with the same storyline, same battle style and pretty much the same dialogue. They tweak a few parts to make it look different but you KNOW its pretty much the same as the game they released a few months earlier......Or when game companies copy each others games and replace the name and maybe the the characters hairstyles, but its pretty much an EXACT replica of the game from the other company.AND NINTENDOGS AND ALL THEIR AFFILIATES IS A POINTLESS WASTE OF TIME!!!! GRAAAAAAAAAARG. But thats more to do with me... he he he......

stupid enough when a charcter appears out of no where and you don't know who they are untill the end of the anime/game.

Bowser's stupidity lies in the fact that he stands ON a detachable bridge and doesn't even back up when Mario jumps to the ax. In Earthbound 2 (Mother 3), Yokuba slips on his own banana peel and falls from a tower. As far as anime goes, I agree about how the main character getting stronger the more he's hurt is pretty retarded, but almost all of them are rash and have some 'inner hidden power'. Pokemon, in retrospect, had so much retardedness to it. Pikachu's level always "resets" for some reason. He should be Lv100 by now.

Oh, there are loads of stupid things in games and anime that just made me go "huh?"Like how characters somehow always manage to power up to defeat a superior foe just at the brink of death, when he could not do it in a healthy condition. I know they're trying to say something about how people can push their limits when faced with danger, but PLEASE, draw the line somewhere, like in no case should someone with dislocated limbs be able to defeat someone who was completely untouched. And there's the case of animes SOMEHOW ALWAYS revolving around a certain subject only. An obvious example is how Pokemon are the solution to every single solution in the Pokemon series. Or like how the main characters always get challenged to fights which involve the anime's main plot device (be it karate, chess or cooking), no matter the location. Like, why would you have a surprise chess battle on the beach? Also, my favourite is when you play Pokemon games and you get asked "So, are you a BOY or a GIRL??!!? A BOY? You SURE?!". Isn't the professor technically talking to you? Am I supposed to accept the fact that all characters are androgynous, thus forcing the professor to have to ask this question?

I think all video games have some elements of stupidity in them, that is why they can continuously create new games which in essence is just an upgraded version of an old game because there are still rooms for improvement. o.O Too stupid games? It is in the tip of my tongue but it has eluded me for now. There's a lot.

Quoted for Truth. But that's part of what makes them video games. :) (The unrealistic aspects). Back on topic, I think it's really stupid how in Dragonball Z, the hair of a Super Saiyan looks dangerously spiky.

Yes, one of the things that are just too stupid is, this is something i thought up while playing RE4; the main character, goes around breaking barrels and killing chicken to apperantly 'examine' what's inside, i'm sorry, but if i'm being chased by psychotic hispaniards i am not going to stop and 'examine the mysterious writting on the wall'

The most things I hate is that some bosses, after getting a beating, get stronger and stronger even though they get a really heavy beating with full hp

That just reminded me of something that annoyed me about RE4You're going around murdering all their people and they still don't even think for a second to take you seriously.Oh, and Saddler at the end, how he goes on about the American saving the day is all cliché and stuff and he turns into a massive fricken monster which has got to be the biggest cliché of all.THAT was stupid.

In the middle of wild arms 2 there are rolling credits. the story line was at a pivital point and I saw creidts so I thougt i beat it so of course I was upset and broke my controler, adn then had to wait to play the rest, because I needed a new controler. Why credits in the middle of a game, can anyone explain the thought process behind that.?

I think it is stupid to make huge chasms in sidescrollers. You know the ones that you almost have to have a cheat device to get past? lol

I hate when a series has a tradition that is cliche but not bad, and then they break it for no reason. Fire Emblem almost always had a huge last boss, usually which popped out of a weaker boss that was easier. Yet Path of Radiance had an easy last boss with no follow-up :P. Secondly, how come weak enemies always attack the hero first? Bosses could have destroyed heroes if they weren't always late. Why can't the BBEG (big bad evil guy) attack first and pwn the main character OR finish him off after they do (Final Fantasy 4 is a great example, Cecil almost gets killed by the last boss like 3 times)? Simple, because if they did there wouldn't be a game/show. :P
