hmmmm, both had very good and ver bad points (like yuna in the first one....just started to annoy me a lot) but FF X-1 prevails since the story was definetely much better (crappy final boss though)

If you place the story from FFX and merge it with most (not all) of the gameplay elements from FFX-2 and you've got yourself a good game. The Sphere Grid was a very inovative way of strengthening your characters, but in FFX-2 they went back to the traditional levels. Overall, since I am sucked in by a good story FFX has to be may favourite of the two. FFX-2 was just to... well it just didn't grab me.

Final Fantasy X, the original, is the better by far. Final Fantasy X-2 is broken down into missions and you have to "dress up". What kind of unholy... but I digress. Final Fantasy X had the best leveling system as well in my opinion. You could customize every character to your choosing, and it was the first Final Fantasy to break the 9999 barrier. Truly an accomplishment for the record books! :(

From what I've been told FFX-1 is way better than the sequel. I guess Square shouldn't make any sequels. THey kinda ruin the story sometimes like with FFX.

Well FFX is better than the sequel but thats only cuz they sorta completely changed it and theres too much about side quests and stuff........really tiring. And no aeons....but it wasnt TOO bad....

X - Amazing story, generic RPG gameplay.X-2 - Gameplay is very fun and boss fights can be intense, story is okay.So I guess I don't know.

well, i dont know about u guys, but ive been playing the FF series since version 1. i finished almost all of them and let me tell u... 10 and 10-2 are 2 of the worst in the series. the story is terrible compared to the other FF's. fine the gfx and battle system are pretty cool. but this is in no way a classic FF. its really too bad too. i wonder what 12 is going to be like. the demo was interesting.

I've played both versions of final fantasy 10i liked the first one better because the story line had a lot more bulk to it and the second one was just to see if she could find Tidus again...pretty lame if you ask me...i think it was a waste of production-Bay

I choose X-1 over X-2 principally because of the story. The story of the first game was way more developed than that cheesy quasi-pointless story we got in X-2. X-2, in any case, was more meant to be a test for a new kind of battle system (which I enjoyed, definitely). X-1 is a much more complete game, and happens to be more of the Final Fantasy caliber than X-2 was, of course in my opinion.
