All systems have their good and bad games. The DS has quite a few that i enjoy because they are adaptations of games i loved in the first place. Final Fantasy III is awesome. The Mana games have always been fun for me. And i like Animal Crossing and Custom Robo which came from the GC. I can't wait for FFCC:Echoes of Time because i loved FFCC.

Well it's true that the NDS has been coming out with pretty bad games. This month it should probably change though. I mean, Fire Emblem SD, Suikoden Tierkreis, Valkyrie Profile, GTA : Chinatown wars. Thats a pretty sweet lineup right there if I may say so myself :D

DS is clearly a source of cash for all games developpers: cheap developpment costs and a machine which is among the best slaes record in the world... But as long as some studios take the time to create proper games, which is still the case, the machine won't be dying.

No way, with the release of Pokemon Platinum and GTA: Chinatown Wars this week, and the release of the DSi next week, this is going to be an extremely dominate time for the DS. I might even buy a DSi and a new flashcart... ;)

expect the DSi to be continued for a couple more years, then a whole new portable system announced.

I think this is somewhat true, just take a look at those new IMAGINE games...there are so many different versions of that game I don't know whom they believed would buy it.

yeah i was gonna say that GTA china town wars is apparently an amazing game. But games like the world ends with you and zelda phantom hour glass truly master the touch screen. im gonna assume most people on this forum have an R4 or ds card to play roms of some sort.... so u can try games and if you like it then you could buy it i guess.

Some games have been alright, others not so good. They seem to be running out of new topics for games so everything appears to fall short.

Yes, the only DS games I've been interested in recently are staples such as Final Fantasy and other established series, with the notable exception of The World Ends With You. It seems to be a case of too many games, many of average to poor quality, are flooding the game stores in an attempt to cash in on the DS's popularity. This could cause a repeat-in-miniature of the 80's game crash, though with the DS. I don't know anybody who's buying these crappy games, not even my brother will buy them for his kids because he knows they aren't fun.

It depends on which games. Most of the games I see at gamestop in the NDS ection are pretty good, but then you get to that part of the shelf with a whole bunch of third party games that are disorganized or gimmicks.

Yes, Nintendo still has the unfortunate curse of having a "kid-friendly" image towards a lot of developers and the general public, and they tend to be easier and cheaper to develop for, so they get loads more shovelware than other platforms do. That doesn't negate all the good games still being released on their consoles.
