Hackable means the ability to make the PSP do things it normally wouldn't be able to do (like play homebrew and ISOs).As for which PSP-2000s are hackable, check out the pinned topics in the Emulation/Homebrew forum. And I think the PSP-3000 screen is pretty nice. It seems to be more crisp, clear, and brighter to me. Even dark games like Dracula X Chronicles look great on there (not that they looked bad on the 2000, but there's a noticeable difference IMO).so... i wouldnt be able to play homebrew and isos on 3000?sorry and what did you mean you have to make sure its hackable? do you mean that not all psp 2000s are hackable and only some individual ones are?oh yeah does the new screen make a big difference?

I forget the same, but there's a hack (its a PRX) that will allow you to use standard cables and whatnot.About the only differences is that the PSP-3000 supports playing games in interlaced with composite cables (the yellow/red/white ones), and it got a minor tweak in design.

FuSa SD is the hack. However, games for me ran at about 33% speed when I outputted it to the TV.There is a program called RemoteJoy that uses USB to output the video to your computer. However, it never worked with UMDs and some games ran at 100% and some lagged horribly. So yes, there is. However, there's problems with both of them. Not to mention I had to deal with rule legality for speed running, and it was a mixed bag on the RemoteJoy thing, plus some of the games I want to run are on the "lag like crap" list.I forget the same, but there's a hack (its a PRX) that will allow you to use standard cables and whatnot.

I can't record with component progressive cables, and getting a converter that would fix that would have cost me twice as much as the PSP-3000, and getting a new DVD recorder + HDTV would have cost even more. Then get one of the external recorders?

.....That doesn't make sense to me, but oh well. I don't understood how a convertor could cost $150+I can't record with component progressive cables, and getting a converter that would fix that would have cost me twice as much as the PSP-3000, and getting a new DVD recorder + HDTV would have cost even more.
