To quote Yahtzee, "Pick an area of effect spell, pour all your points into it to get to level four or five as fast as possible, put a piece of electrical tape over the "cast magic" button, go to sleep, wake up, win game, have a well-deserved cup of tea, Star Wars hero of the land."

I do agree that the game didnt last wuite nearly as long as the first Fable but the best way to level up quickly would be..sheer determination. Yeah I know thats lame but its about the best advice I can give you. But only focusing on leveling your character isnt really the highlight of the game.

lollerskates, dude, i think i prefer the grinding method that was so much easier back in Fable 1, with the two skeletons that just appeared and reappeared every two seconds

My fable character is pure skill, besides toughness. I love being a gunner in an rpg.

Yeah, the no MP thing really annoys me.Makes it hella annoying when a friend is like "My character is strong than yours lolololsauche."I wish it was like Fable 1.Don't get me wrong I love the game. I just wish it was harder to get experience.

Me too, although it kind of ruins the game. Personally, I cheated to get unlimited experience and then stopped playing. I wouldn't recommend it. Just go through the game as God intended.(Well, probably not, but I like the phrase)

I saw in GameInformer that they have guns now! Well, muskets, or something...still, could you make some kind of pirate-ninja hybrid character who uses katanas and guns?

Fable 2 is so easy and "family tuned" that could be finished just by spitting on monsters.By the way, having two characters and both of them pure evil (sorry, it is just too fun. Can't be arsed playing the good guy), I have come to realize that the perfect tactic is having a pure mage, with spells like that:5 - bolt4 - chaos3 - slow time2 - whatever1 - fireThe 1-fire is cool to nick trolls and do funny stuff. When battling the big guys, if they're quick just launch slow time 3. It'll give you enough time to build it up all the way to Bolt 5 without hassle. If they're slow, just chaos 4 and then bolt 5. This way you can't even be bothered to avoid enemies, something that you have to do sometimes with slow time. With this buildup, no monster is too strong. An area bolt-5 will destroy 95% of the monsters of the first hit.

I got the game for Christmas but then I lost it on my trip to Peru... before I even got to play it. But from the heavy research I did on the game I probably would have gone with Katanas. I'm also a little iffy about the addition of guns... I always find that guns make all the other weapons seem obsolete. Unless the game focuses on guns i dont like them in the game.

mater flintlock pistol can become the most power ful gun because reloading takes a milisecond so it's very rapid fire and if you go to knothole island and buy the one with four augment slots you can one shot the elite guard with it so it's deffinately the most powerful gun in the game and shok is probably the best spell because it stun them momentarily and does a lot of damage

Well, what I do, is just train for a long time. But I have a lot of patience. I can not really give any other advice, because that is all I do.

My character is really well-rounded. I didn't focus on one thing in particular, but rather leveled up everything evenly. My character is evil, corrupt and a really big guy. Battle axe is a great weapon, by the way.

I found that the easiest, non cheat way to gain exp is to just keep playing through the arena. if i needed experience in a certain field, i would go there, use attacks only from the tier i wanted, and in little time i was able to max out almost everything, because as long as you dont get hit, you can gain way more experience here than anywhere else in the game.
