I do love the clasics too, i like the way they're re-releasing FF games from PS1 period. but i like the way they've done an upgrade with the graphics of them too. yet i love how they did Chrono Trigger, kept it simple, apart from the touch pad, but thats what its all about huh!

I love them. I played Children of Mana and couldn't stop playing it despite the low ratings. I enjoy 2D rpg games similar to the snes. That's why I wish they would make more 2d rpg games, rather than the 3d. If I wanted 3D I would go for powerful consoles/handhelds. I thought the limits of the processing power would force the games to be simpler.

well, I have to admit that some classical games are very good but the graphics are not so, also like what someone else said earlier, newer games are usually sequals, so yeah.

I have tons of classic games and systems. Even vintage computers. Atari 400 or apple II, anyone? I sell NESes on ebay, and I currently have about 50 of them. I have about 10 SNESes, 5 N64s, and 4 Genesises.

I just purchased the DS lite 1 week before the DSi, just to be able to play the old classic games on the old gameboy advance sp games, like Galiga in NAMCO Museum, since I already have the game. My wife really love that game.

I'm not too into bit graphics. They are effective for the games they are portraying, like pong or space invader, but I love sprites. I'd prefer them over choppy, polygonal, 3D figures any day. Also, visual novel type games with hand drawn characters are especially good looking too.

For me,old and have no more time, the classic game take me to the beautiful memories of youth and made me really relaxed, because it does not require too much effort to finish game

I love the more basic games graphics wise - most of the games I have for my DS are the puzzle type games I had on my Palm and they are the ones that get me coming back to the again and again - just waiting and waiting for bejewled to finally release on the DS

In my opinion, games arnt being made so much for entertainment as for marketing anymore. Big shiny graphics draws in the kids, who pester their parents to buy them games. Sure, classics were debatably better than 90% of current games, but how many people other than the real gamers could appreciate pixelated low graphic games? I do love classic games, but nowadays its not something we can ask for.

If a game is innovative and unique, it's worth getting. The newer games are hit and miss but the older ones are generally great in their own right. Then again, I had to play Retro Game Challenge to appreciate how older games work. :(
