I believe there is life after death. Because it would be boring if you were to die and just sleep there for all eternity. And besides, no life after death seems to depressing for me.

I believe in reincarnation myself. I know that it sounds like some new-age mumbo jumbo to most people, but it shouldn't be dismissed as such.If a soul were to exist, and it were part of the body, it be wherever the body is. When a body dies, it decomposes and becomes part of the planet again, forming a supposed eternal cycle of life. I believe that the soul becomes part of the planet again, just like the body, eventually occupying a new vassal when the time comes.Or maybe it's just wishful thinking from my behalf. It is sad to think that it all amounts to nothing in the end. But I can't say that I know for sure that what I believe in will happen, since there are so many unknowns that I just can't comprehend.

I believe the soul is your life essence and your body is a vessel for it. i think that after you die your soul moves on searching for the next vessel its ment to have.

i believe that there is no heaven or hell, your after life is what u want it to be, even after death, there will be no eternal happiness, your life will continue on after your body has died but your spirit will keep going.

I don't think that there is an "end" so to speak because our souls are like an energy and energy can never be destroyed. So on this theory we live forever, whether this means entering another vessel or body and beginning from the start all over again or it means our souls drifting through time and space either observing or helping others who are still around i don't know. Howeer, i do believe that there must be something after death.....as i believe in a higher being that created the world(you can call it God if you so wish) i don't think It would create something so immense like our brains and then destroy them into oblivion forever, there has to be some sort of recycling process. think about all the greatest minds in history completely destroyed, any further potential crushed.....this can't be the reality...there has to be something after death=)

Well, I believe when we die, it's over for us. Who knows?Maybe in the future, scientists will use a human experiment and try a temporary death... whatever that means.

Well. I'm surprised at the amount of people that think you die AND THAT'S IT!!! I think you get reincarnated into either another human without any memory of your past life or an animal! I want to be reincarnated into a Puppy or something else that has just slipped my mind!... :)

It is my person belief that when you die it is simply like a very deep sleep....of course without dreams, and that there is no going to heaven or hell for all eternity for things you've done in the course of what 80-100 yrs?

I believe using heaven to justify good is actually the opposite of its intention. It's actually selfish in a way.I'm agnostic, I dunno what happens. No one really does. It's all speculation and at that point is where the differences lie.

i have to agree with finalage on this subject. but our your limmited human minds could never ever comprehend what it can never cognize hence comprehend.so i'd be a liar if i said i understand this subject.and by the way, no matter how objectively you want to look at this, "death", no one would ever be able to escape the subjectivity of thier own perceptions. so its impossible to concieve of becoming an object. once it happens your just going to have to find out the truth for your self. that is what i believe. death is the ''final'' Phase of a proccess called life, consciousness, existence, whateva , that we dont even understand much at all. so the proper way to adress this is i dont know. all i know is that neuroscience has a long ways to go and you could spend several lifetimes and still not know. so what mattersultimately is for you to just do what u do lol. if you have a religion, more power to you. if you don't, thats ok too.

I was brought up in a Christian Family. My Dad is even the minister at the church we go to, but it's a family church. Mostly only relatives go. Anyway, back to the topic, I believe in Heaven and Hell. But sometimes, when I think about it, it's hard to believe. I just hope God is real.Optimism is the hope that we use for our achievements. With out hope, there is nothing.- Helen Keller (I think that's the quote.)Edit- I mispelled 'achievements'

well many religions believe in some life after death, if it be going to heaven, comeing back as a new entity on earth. I dont care what happens after death as long as if i return i can see the world through diffrent eyes or if i dont so be it... there isnt much you can do concerning death and what happens after it.

I believe that there is no afterlife. The fact that some religions state that there are I have no problem with, but religions saying that homosexuality or sex before marriage is a sin just wouldn't make sense to me. Why, if someone was a homosexual, would they go to Hell or Purgatory? The belief that we hold about the afterlife, if there is one, is just based upon whatever makes sense to us. If you believe in God or if you don't is a good basic question that is essentially the same as do you believe in an afterlife or not. Or if you believe in ghosts and destiny or such things. I don't believe in any, I am an atheist, as you could probably guess.Regarding the 21 grams thing. That was the conclusion of an experiment done by Duncan MacDougall. He ignored data he received to draw the conclusion he wanted.

i like to believe the greek mythology version with the underworld, River Styx, Hades, etc... Like if you were good during life you go to Elysium, bad you go to the Fields of Ashphodel, or rebirth. And if you make it to Elysium 3 times in a row, you end up in the Isle of the Blest, which is like the Underworld's nonstop party house.

I believe there's life after death, a heaven and hell. Though I don't think we go there immediately. I think there's something like limbo and we'll all wait around for judgment day.
