It's a tough decision for me, but I think Fire Emblem is better. Luminous Arc may have sound and great characters, but the 2nd series sort of... ruined it.Oh, just so some may know, I'm talking about the European version of the Fire Emblem:Shadow Dragon game that should be released in North America shortly. My bad for not posting it clearly up there =P.

i would go with fire emblem shadow dragon man it way better and better game play but luminous arc is good too but luckly for me i can get free nds so ya fire emblem!!!!

Luminous Arc was a great game...but there's something about the Fire Emblem series that's extremely involving...great games

I'd go for Luminous Arc. Fire emblem hardly has any good/attractive graphics.. And it took me quite by surprise you have to sacrifice units to get on with the mission. Luminous Arc on the other hand might look a bit like it is meant for children, but isn't. The game has nice graphics, a good story and cutscenes (Some parts spoken) and has an overall FFT feeling to it.If you are looking for an FE game though, I'd recommend the GBA versions, they are way better then the DS one in my oppinion.

If you're talking about Shadow Dragon, I'd say Luminous Arc 2's slightly better. Slightly. Have you played any of the GBA Fire Emblem games? Those are much better than both Shadow Dragon AND the Luminous Arc series.

i agree Erio, I loved Luminous Arc 1 it was the best strategy RPG i'd ever played on a handheld console, the music, the voice acting, until the 2nd one came out and its gone pretty kaput, however i'd still say Luminous Arc as i havnt played Fire Emblem as of yet!

I prefer Luminous Arc 2 to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon but every other FE game >>>>> both Luminous Arc games.

I just finished playing Shadow Dragon and it may have been the worst FE game I've played (and I've played the first 9). All of the characters were incredibly bland and the story was very generic, which is what rpg's thrive on. The class switching was cool but I didn't know that Jeigan could bring a horse and wyvern with him all the time so it didn't really make sense. The graphics were awful, the battle sprites didn't even have eyes (which makes me especially angry because I make them for a hack of a GBA style FE)I haven't played Luminous Arc but I would suggest staying away from FEDS but I would suggest FE7 or FE4, both really good FEs

I've played both games and in my oppion fire emblem is the better game. Man luminous arc is like a cheap nock off of FFTA and the stupid expericence system is so old. So my advice for people if you want a rich for filling game get fire emblem

i preferred Luminous Arc or the older fire emblems release in english (or Japanese if u could translate it) the fire emblem for ds has problems such as it lakc rescues command
