Plus I have a feeling it's gonna be cleaned up a bit, since it is coming out for the DS.Though I am looking forward to the more old school birds eye view again.Yeah, but you're forgetting that alot of adults own a DS too. And creating a diverse selection of games can only help the DS market. And haven't we all gotten used to GTA's style by now? We all know what to expect from Rockstar. It doesn't even look all that impressive btw, but I'll try it anyways.

Who told you that? Although I´ve to agree there is a lot of child-orientated software outthere, there are still tons of games clearly aiming at an older audience (not all of them "M"-rated though). With an installbase far beyond 100 million one can´t believe the DS to be supposed to be a child/teenage-system.the DS is supposed to be a child/young teen system for mostly clean and somewhat educational games

What naysayers? There are none that have posted in this thread. You nay sayers
Not everybody likes GTA style games. Not always because of the violence, rather the gameplay itself.are just oblivious to how good this game is...
Why? It's harder to see what you're doing and the game feels much more immersive when you can actually see what's going on up close.I even play GTA: SA in the top down cinematic just to get those old memories back.
Earthworm Jim 3D (N64)Oni (PS2)Surfing H3O (PS2)Those ring any bells? When has rockstar stead us wrong?
A (potentially) wider consumer base # revolutionizing something. And yes it will revolutionize the DS because more adults will buy it.

You were the naysayer saying that you don't think it is impressiveNot liking GTA is okay, not being able to understand that it is an extremely difficult game to make, and that the fact they made it so well should never be ignoredAnd no those games don't ring bells. What rings bells for me are 4 of the top selling games on Xbox/360, and PS/PS2/PS3 i.e. GTA2, GTA3, GTA:SA, GTA 4, and now finally we have a GTA game coming to DS. Watch the sales, that's all I say.Edit: http://www.metacriti...tochinatownwarsmetacritic gave this game a 95, nothing else matters. What naysayers? And that means I'm "oblivious" too? Sorry if I don't jump on the "GTA IS DA BEST EVAR!!!" bandwagon. It's a good series, but it's not perfect, despite what you may think. You were the naysayer saying that you don't think it is impressive
Just about any game is hard to make, and do not assume that I don't understand what goes into making a game, that is what I went to school for kthnx. Besides that has nothing to do with the topic. Not liking GTA is okay, not being able to understand that it is an extremely difficult game to make, and that the fact they made it so well should never be ignored
EDIT: misread. Doesn't mean all of Rockstar's games are gold. I cited examples.Basically I was saying that it wasn't gonna bring down the DS' image because we've all gotten used to GTA by now and what to expect. Do not misconstrue that. And no those games don't ring bells. What rings bells for me are 4 of the top selling games on Xbox/360, and PS/PS2/PS3 i.e. GTA2, GTA3, GTA:SA, GTA 4, and now finally we have a GTA game coming to DS. Watch the sales, that's all I say.
